You know those stories where the hero creates the villain?
What if it was literal? Like, the hero is trying to beat the big bad, and they create a monster to do it for them and just make something that is so, so much worse than that big bad, which does win them the fight, but then results in a new, even stronger big bad that the heroes have to deal with.
Just a silly little plot beat I had an idea for in my Manga.
It's funny. I'm hyper-aware to some sounds over others, idk why probably memory responses, like the sound of chalk hitting pavement or pawsteps on hardwood flooring, and most notably, the sound of scissors.
So I was listening to the new ladymonsters song b/c I love ado and stuff and it has scissor sounds in it and they're like spatial audio and the first one I physically snapped my head to the side in response.

and it's not neccesarily a negative sound response, it just puts be on guard. I'm not sure why, but I've always been fascinated with symbolism relating to hair, and especially, cutting it. I mean, cutting your own hair can be a just-for-fun activity, a stress response, an act of defiance, a mental breakdown thing, a moment of emotional catharsis. Someone else cutting your hair can be a negative thing(like in v for vendetta), or a sign that you trust them enough or that they care enough to take care of you. It's all the context, and I tend to overanalyze those things. Especially when they come with the sound of scissors (b/c sound alert response)
