I’ll try and summarize it.
You play as a person, sent to a island, because you did a very bad thing (you stole some old lady’s purse to feed yourself as an example) on said island, there are riches galore. And centuries old creatures varying from actual monsters to human adjacent creatures. Goal, bring riches back to the mainland (without dying of course) and hope you did well enough to get yourself pardoned
