If A. The person being paid is a minor and B. The business technically counts as a “small business”

You don’t need to file taxes if you’re dependent and make less than a certain amount per year, but yea your paycheck gets taxed regardless.

Oh, and they were called 'augments'. But the basic concept is about the same, I think. In that book, they did things ranging from helping you heal from rooms to allowing you to heal other's wounds, change your voice, and a ton more. So that idea gives you a ton of wriggle room for designing powers. Cool!
