Basically da world is called Luona City, and it's set in a perfectly circular island on Earth protected by a magical force field created by the world to hide the island to not shatter mortal minds. Centuries ago, a group of sailors broke through the barrier and settled on the island, making their home there. Disrupted from the imbalance, the barrier created nineteen beings, gods of elements and arts, and one last creature, who had no name. The gods instantly took a liking to the humans and each other, except the nameless one. The nameless one was the force of darkness and they called it the Corruption as it had the ability to manipulate people. Upset by this, the Corruption decided to corrupt world leaders of Earth to break through the barrier. It managed to break through, but also created the Apocalypse. It seeped through the barrier and banished the gods out. So the gods decided to send their powers inside the border to mortal souls without magic, because magic is a thing and I'll go into that later, and those souls gained magic. The main character of my story is one of those people, called a Godshard. The barrier is still in place, but there is a tiny hole at the very bottom of it.
