 It's a conspiracy, I swear. It's all about planned obsolescence, man, and infinite staircases in general don't fit that model.

Once you buy one, I mean, you got infinite staircase and usually don't need more. I'm just glad they still get made, frankly.

I want to make a Barbarian subclass that adds a lot of complexity while still fitting the Barbarian's theming and mechanics.

Maybe a subclass based around building up a resource by taking hits, which can then be used for various abilities...

More “Injury Points” -> more abilities/stronger abilities.

I'm really just looking for some sort of cool flavor to put behind this barbarian right now.

I'm considering maybe a sort of magical Kintsugi theme, where the rage makes the barbarian ooze Nielle which holds them together and strengthens them as their wounds grow more devastating.
(Nielle is haunted, sentient oil, and is exceedingly powerful in ways not fully understood. It is found in whales and deep within the earth, and can is often used to power unholy war machines.)
