It does feel like a religious view. I have no issue with that or religion in general, but I'm not entirely sure if it's the right view in this case. Link was worried about not getting a girl; telling him to not care about anything is not...really the right thing to say, in my opinion.

2, everything is temporary. Even life, there is an end to all since death exists. forever is impossible.
Link don't worry about dating till your in college I've watched my sisters go on dates with a bunch of people during highschool and spoiler alert none of those relationships lasted
