Also, do any of y’all no people who spell is “Chronos?” Because if you do that, you’re insane
I've always spelled it Kronos because of Percy Jackson. I'm assuming the spelling 'Chronos' comes from the the root word 'chrono', which means time. And Kronos is the Titan of time...
If a normal guy was here he'd probably quote this and put and just put "🤓"
I haven't spelled Kronos in a while but honestly I can see myself spelling Chronos
Luckily, this is a dnd forum so the likelihood of a normal guy showing up is close to zero
I can't stand the nerd emoji. People use it when you say something thats not even nerdy. I remember someone was spamming chat in a video game and I wanted them to stop so I said "Spam is reportable" and everyone else was like "Spam is reportable ☝️🤓"
That's why I don't use chat.
[REDACTED]
Use that again and I will find you.

Hi there! My name's Elk. I'm NoiSilverheart's doppelgänger. I'm a demi/grayromantic, socially awkward Okie who may or may not be a pyromaniac. *random confetti blast*
I'm a warlock of the Archcrone, and my patron is TheFriendlyArchfey. I was nicknamed AchatesCervus8337 by VitusW and given the titles "Swashbuckling Scorcher", "The Unpredictable Jedi", "Burning Fury of the Ancients", and "Combustion Knight" by DrummerBoyDragonSlayer.
I have an issue that only true mythology nerds will understand
i saw the words Kronos and Hercules in the same sentence -_-
Hercules is Roman and Kronos is Greek, I think?
Correct! The Greek version of Hercules is named Heracles.
What a ripoff
Well the Romans couldn't just keep his name the same. He was named after Hera, Zeus's wife, but she was renamed Juno once the Roman Empire took over.
Yeah they renamed everyone except Apollo because he’s special for some reason
"I'm a special little snowflake."
- Apollo at least one point in his immortal life
I mean… Apollo was stupid he kept chasing Daphne and she turned into a tree then there was the discus guy who got beheaded by his discus because Apollo didn’t want to share the guy
His name was some sort of flower... Hyacinthus? And he didn't get beheaded, the discus flew into his forehead and cracked his skull open. Also it was... I think the West Wind's (?) fault that the discus even hit him there, 'cause he was jealous and wanted to get back at Apollo.
Apollo was stupid? I mean 90% of the gods were pretty stupid.
Yup
hestia tho…I like her based on what I’ve read
All the remakes love underworld man (I'm blanking on how to spell his name) so it makes me like him. Especially lore olympus, but plenty of others do as well
Hades? Yeah he’s pretty cool
For some reason i thought he had an Ies sound somewhere at the end of his name
Also, my sister misread the river sticks as Sty/Xs. And now that i know that im seriously disappointed in the name sticks
I think everyone here is a mythology expert but me, who only knows the basics
Hey y’all, you can call me Sel, pronouns they/he. Some things about me, I like reading, writing, dnd, theater, art. I have an art doc and my yt channel linked below. Pms are always open if you need to talk. Love y’all <3

One of my favorite Greek stories is when a bunch of pirates kidnapped Dionysus (who often appears as a youth) so on their boat he summoned grapevines to strangle them before turning them all into dolphins.

O sorrow, I have ended, you see, by respecting you, because I am certain you will never leave me.
Ah! I realize it: your beauty lies in the force of your being. You are like those who never left the sad fireside corner of my poor black heart.
O my sorrow, you are better than a well-beloved: because I know that on the day of my final agony, you will be there, lying in my sheets, O sorrow, so that you might once again attempt to enter my heart.

Why do the gods in Greek mythology turn into such weird things to attract mortals? According to Apollo in the Trials of Apollo books, Zeus once turned into a shiny amorphous blob for a woman. Like, what the hell?
