I get you want to drop it, but I want to just conclude with the fact that it’s abuse and is illegal.
Dropping now.

Sure, why not. Any advice on how to get over the fear of coming out?
Hah! *awkward laugh*
It really depends. Who do you want to come out to, and what's preventing you from telling them?

A friend, but I am afraid of them accidentally mentioning it to somone whom I don't want to know.
If it's something that you know to be true about yourself, then why be afraid about them telling others?

Life reasons, but thanks. That helped.
Is it the ostracization that comes with it? The jokes and the hate and all? I know what you're talking about.
Would they tell someone even if you told them not to?

That is the worry. And they might accidentally tell someone, that is another worry.
Comrade, you are not alone. I'm dealing with the same worry at the moment. I want to tell my friends, but I have no clue how they'll react, if they'll want to stay friends.

I found myself in this conundrum once upon a time, and haven't told most of my friends to be honest. Having come out to my parents only two weeks ago, I don't want to say I have amazing expertise lmao, but I do want to say that it's not as hard as it seems, and honestly, why should you care what they think?
This is like them ostracizing you for being colorblind, just identity is something that's become so controversial and important. It just doesn't have to be that important. Honestly, my friends and I were having the goofiest conversation and one of them just somehow asked me "Are you gay?" rather jokingly, to which I responded "I'm bi." And that was that. No drama about it. They haven't changed, and only become better friends on the trip since then. If you overdramatize it, it'll only get worse, and honestly, unless you actually have heard people say anti-queer things, and even if they have, most will be okay with it.

TL;DR: It's something about yourself, ergo it doesn't have to be stressful. Identity is overdramatized, but it's no different (or it doesn't have to be) than telling them anything else about yourself
Just ask anyone on the DDB Discord group and uh they'll tell you that I came out very calmly and everything for sure 100% fifty percent of the time perhaps if you flip a coin and ignore half of the results---
