 "Ok there are 3 reasons I don't know who will win. 1. I would need something belonging to everybody who is competing. 2. the number of random variables make predicting hard even if I solved the first 2 problems the last one would screw me over. I suck at reading the future and doing it that much would make my head explode."

A female voice, the same one that reminds people to go to breakfast, echoes through the heads of the students. “Hello. Today is the first competition of the year. Please report to the west courtyard. Dr. Paine will explain the rules.” DeMal is standing in the courtyard discussing something in low tones with a person.
