 Asha walks over to juniper. “You okay?”

 “My mom is pressuring me to take the Oath of Glory, but I don’t really feel like that’s how I want to be so I’m looking through alternatives.”

 “What’s the oath of glory?”

 She tosses over a letter written in Infernal.

 Asha looks at the letter helplessly, “sorry i don’t understand…infernal?”

 “My mom’s a tiefling, sorry. Here, let me translate. The tenets of glory are to be known by actions, face hardships with happiness for a new challenge, never let your body fall into disrepair, and to never let the forces of evil twist your mind to dim the your light in this dark world. I don’t know, seems kinda confrontational don’t you think?”

 

 “Yeah. I dont really think i could face hardships with happiness for a new challenge, based on how ive dealt with my previous hardships…”

 The pale girl walks over cautiously. “Hello?”

Merci looks up, his gaze is very unsettling. “Hello.”

 

 She startles. “Why is everyone avoiding you?”

 He shrugs. “Maybe it’s just my vibe. Or maybe they saw me turn Rain into swiss cheese.”

 “…”

 “Hey, he tried to break my legs. We’re old friends, though. So don’t worry about it.”

 “Ah. Admittedly it would have been nice to see him beaten for once”

 "Has he never lost a fight here before? I always beat him."

 “Well he just punches people and they go flying 50 feet. Im half convinced he doesn’t actually have magic.”

 "I'll let you think because I see you're confused." James says pulling out a hair brush "I wonder why Meowth has taken a liking to you."

She says agressively as she points to the chair. She retrieves a potions bag labeled "medical" items

 “O-okay.” He sits down in the chair.

 She pulls out a salve and applies it to the wounds. its a shimmery, thick blue paste, and it's cold as it seeps into them

 Rain shudders. “Either your hands are really cold, or that stuff is really cold.”

 "its the salve."

She wipes her hands with a rag and tosses it into the fire


Annnd then it hits her that she just had her hands all over his chest.. She flushes slightly.

 He gets up and stretches, not even noticing her blushing. “Thanks. That feels better.”

 "Good, that should be fine now. So, that walk then?..."

 "Do you still want to?"

 She nods briefly, flushing still
"yeah, it'd be nice.."

 "Kay. Lead the way. Ladies first, I think...?"

 "Bold of you to assume I am one~" She says teasingly as she leads him to the greenhouse

 "...H-HUH?"

 "That you're trustworthy and might be useful.."

 "Well um, little harsh but yeah I guess." He says

 "Meowth, do a recheck.."

Meowth refuses.

 Jericho sighs, petting meowth if it lets him

 It leans into Jericho's hand, purring

 He smiles softly, petting it happily

she smiles slightly. “I’d like to make jewelry i think. I know it sounds stupid, but i feel like my flame could be useful for it and i could add protective enchantments to it.”
