 Luna sighs and pulls out the piece of paper "you want to hear a story then?"

 She nods "Go ahead. Im all ears"

 "very well. The story starts with an old woman, born at the top of the food chain but she always wanted more. in her youth, it was said she was kind, but she always felt dissatisfied. She wanted a true challenge, so she created a game of chess with her opponent being the word itself. people, places, the environment, even her daughter and granddaughter became pieces on a board. She was convinced that the world held secrets that no one knew and was determined to find them. That old woman found one of those secrets and did everything in her power to get at it, attempting to twist her granddaughter into a puppet so that she could get at it. She managed to make the granddaughter fear her, of what the old woman could do to her without laying a hand on her, but that is the furthest the old woman got

Things fell through. The daughter learned of what the old woman was planning and the granddaughter became sick. That proved to be sufficient enough to dissuade the old woman for a time, but it wouldn't last forever. So the daughter called upon the uncle to hide her away when they could not. It worked for three years, but that old woman has connections and eyes everywhere. i do not know how, but my grandmother found me here, and that scares me" 

 "... Who the hells is your grandmother?? Shes not also a demigod, is she? She'll be kept out by the barrier should she try to come, right? What the hells does she want to 'win' anyways??"

 "good for you! got lucky there! now, this is just me spitballing, but it seems to me that who or whatever is trying to break the moon has a bone to pick with either artimes or selene. do moons have nymphs? whatever. so that does lower the list of suspects"

 "They also seem to be targeting the sun for it's power as well. It's just the moon at risk of breaking..."

 "whatever it is that my grandmother wants, it's something that she has spent a while trying to get at. she's not a demigod, but she does have a lot of money"
