 "Yeah, friend!" He pauses "Why..? Do you not consider us that yet? Also, even if she is a god, she should be able to take time out of her day to meet someone as cool as you! Frikin stupid that she hasn't already.."

 “Yeah, we’re friends. If you say so. It doesn’t matter, she’s probably had hundreds of daughters as cool as me, I’m just another stack in the pile, I add nothing to her day she hasn’t seen before.” She shrugs, smiling.

 "... I dont know how you stay so happy. Thats horrible of her. No one is like you.. Even if there have been cool people in other ways, thats not a fair comparison at all. Theres so much amazing about you..."

 She laughs, rubbing the back of her neck, “I’m flattered, but the way you talk makes it sound like you have a crush on me or something.” She pats their head, “Smiling makes you feel better, even when you don’t feel it, sometimes I’m sad, but I can always smile, because I’ve got people like you.”

 "Crush..? Im gonna be honest, I haven't ever felt that way about anyone... Don't think I will any time soon. Youre just really frikin cool and deserve a better mom..." He smiles slightly "But Im glad if our hangouts have helped make you feel happier some days"

 “It is what it is, if I was supposed to have a good mom, maybe my dad will get married.” She shrugs, going back to reading her book, humming to herself.

 He tries to get a look at the book cover

 The history of the Greek’s goddess of wisdom, and all the other stuff. Doesn’t seem to be the more formal book.

 He smiles at that, before trying to read along with her

 “But sincerely, I hope your cabin gets fixed soon. Should be quick if the schematics for it are unchanged.”

 “It’s a matter of personal identity. Each cabin represents a god, so ours would represent Hecate. It cannot be neat and tidy because magic is not that. It cannot be truly chaotic because magic still has a structure to it. Our current plan is a wall made of stones covered in runes. Archaic yet advanced in magic.”
