Alex is yawning, curled up in some blankets in a makeshift tent near the Hermes cabin. He’s reading a book.

 *yippee!*

Caleb peaks into the tent, making a silly face. “Heeey~, what are ya reading?”

 Alex smiles really big. “Camping guides! I should learn how to make this tent better.. at least for now.”

 “Oh, cool! Hope they rebuild the cabin soon, but I like camping a lot.” He sits down next to Alex, looking at the book over his shoulder.

 Alex leans his head on Caleb’s shoulder. “It might take a while… maybe even slower than that new one.” He sighs.

 Caleb ruffles Alex’s hair, smiling. “Too bad… I think we’ll be fine, though.” He chuckles. “I like being outside like this, sleeping under the stars…”

Harvey, seeing that this fight might not go anywhere good, casts cure wounds on Andrew, pulses of crimson energy snaking through the ground like veins and reinvigorating him, before using step of the wind as a bonus action to disengage, moving 45ft away.

 ".....what?"

 “Oh. You haven’t gotten the orientation yet. You’re at a camp for demigods. Children of the Greek gods. Name?” 

 "...I'm Samantha. what's his name... cayde already gave me the rundown. you?"

 “Already said. I’m Evan. Son of Zeus. I should probably beg his forgiveness…” 

 "ah!" she facepalms "right! sorry! for what?"

 “Killing someone and being supposedly evil, don’t believe that (GP).” 

 ".....okay, there's a lot to unpack there. explain yourself"

 “He and his boyfriend tried to kill my best friend, so I fought for my best friend… even though he was morally flawed, I still think he didn’t deserve to die, and I ended up killing him by accident. I only meant to incapacitate him.” 

 ".......d*mn, I'm sorry. why were they trying to kill him?"

 “He broke them up and showed them visions to try and cause depression. Morally flawed. But he didn’t deserve to die. He was mislead. His mom told him she would revive his dad if he did it, or at least that’s what I understand of it.”

 Havoc is already inside, looking at one of the books he has collected in a small pile at one of the tables. 

 He walks over and sets his bag down. “What have you found so far?”

 "Not much, only been here for a bit but I've never been good at doing research like this. It's more my cousin's thing. "

 “I’ll help. Think I’m good at this sort of research.” He takes a notebook out and sets it on the table, then opens his bag. “Snacks. Like i promised. You got a favorite type of crisp?” He flips through a few of the books with his other hand, skimming the contents.

 "I'm not too picky, though things with a bit of a spicy kick to them are those I'm partial to." He says.

 Cayde tosses him a bag of spicy Doritos. “On brand for you. These books don’t really have what we’re looking for.” He pushes them to the side. “What I’ve gathered from skimming, is that this.. fox is supposedly impossible to catch. As in, its whole existence revolves around that fact. If was made to punish a city.”

 "How the heck does a fox punish a city?" He says as he eats the doritos offered. 

 Cayde taps Havoc on the nose with the end of his pencil. “An uncatchable fox. Cities need food. This fox decimated the chickens, the eggs, and apparently large enough to eat children too. Not even Artemis herself could catch it.”
