 Samantha runs up. "hey"

 “Hey.” Marcus greets, taking a blow to the stomach. Samatha can see that the sword is blunt.

 “Yeah. Snuggles wouldn’t hurt me. But he’s a good swordsman.” 

 "snuggles?"

 “That’s what he wants to be called. Says he’s nice and snuggly.” 

 "oooooooookay? and where? did he come from?"

 “He’s a ghost I met a few days ago. His real name is Matthew but he likes being called Snuggles when he’s in skeleton form.” 

 "okay. is this his skeleton, orrrrrr....?"

 “No. I couldn’t find anything but his skull. This is another skeleton. My half brother is actually gonna teach me how to transfer spirits into machines!”

 “Scar. Tech guy.” 

 "never met him. also, putting huaman souls into machines sounds like a bad idea"

“Why? It sounds perfectly okay to me. Works just like human bodies except with more perks. I’m thinking wings and electrocution if I make one.” 

 *well, the majority of their powers are mental. I assume the mind is preserved, and as such, most of their powers would work (the sorrow beam and shapeshifting might be a little dicey tho)*

"well, a person is supposed to be flesh and blood. suddenly bringing them back to life in a machine might be traumatic"

 Cayde blinks. “That’s.. awesome. Damn. I wish I could fly. I’m no demigod though. No magic powers from me.”

They fold their hands in their lap and smile politely. “Good evening, friend. The stars are beautiful tonight.”
