you feel your body start to unravel, your very molecules coming apart. you look at your shoulder and see flesh twisting off of it in Dreamlike spirals. enraged, you unleash a blast of lightning at him. elliot starts to say something, but the blast of lightning cuts him off, knocking him back. he falls down. he doesn't get back up.
His eyes stop glowing and he gasps, getting up.

as Elliot falls, your body and the ground around you snaps to normalcy, no longer twisting, but keeping the shape Elliot gave them.

Elliot stays down. you're pretty sure they're dead, and when they died, their power cut out, stopping the ground and your body from destabilizing more, but not returned to normal

Makana hops back a bit "Dead zone..? What does that mean? You... You likely dont want me touching these... Electronics, as I am.."
“No signal. No way of sending or receiving texts.” They send a vine over to pick up the phone and bring it to where Makana can see it, then start scrolling. Once a day, every day, this contact has been sending messages that are all along the lines of ‘please come home nick’. Sometimes they’re angry, demanding that they return, other times they plead, and beg, and a variety of other stuff. The vine stops at a message that reads: “Please come home Nick. It’s your sister’s birthday today, and what she wants the most is her big brother with her.”

“One of them. They won’t listen. My mortal one won’t accept who I am, and my goddess one won’t accept that I exist.”
