*my conception is that the seelie and unseelie courts are split into the seasonal ones. seelie becomes spring and summer, unseelie becomes fall and winter. the seelie court is 'good' by our standards, as are the spring and summer courts. but as spring is the season of growth and change, fey of the spring court are more likely to be kind to us mortals. that's not what summer is about. summer is the righteous flame and fury that drives the deadness of winter away for another year. summer is about extremes, while spring is about middle grounds and grey areas. fey of the summer court are either 0 or 110. either throwing lavish (but still extremely high energy) parties, or leading crusades against winter fey, or perhaps winter itself.
the transitive courts get to play with being mellow, but winter and summer don't. they're high energy, all the time.
doing some reaserch on Gemini, theyir ruling planet is mercury. extremely hot, extremely fast. tidally locked. one side in eternal night, the other baking 24/7.
