"But they have more police and hostile architecture. I try to avoid it 'cause I know too many dens there. Don't wanna fall back into old habits. I respect Doc too much to do that."

He nods, raising his eyebrows. "Good point! Never thought of that. But there would be more municipal workers down there to find you." He taps his chin. "Ah, but then again, people still have no idea what lives down there. People say gators, but what would they eat? I don't imagine fish would last long, and humans aren't big or common enough for them. Yet the legend persists, doesn't it?"

'They eat rats. Big ones. Aren't many gators though. I could solve all the questions of those paranormalists and urban explorers, but they don't wanna talk. Think I'm some kinda Pennywise, I don't know'

"My boss would love to hear your insights, I think, but I'd rather not get on the bad side of the sewer dryads. Those ladies are deadly, and they won't tolerate undead influence in their homes. Makes sense, though."

"Dallas, and going by the few drawings I've seen, very."
'I gotta go Dallas when my work here is done. Is there much in the way of cryptid activity? Not been to Dallas, I haven't really been in the South much except Balios'

"Oh, if you think we got monsters here, you ain't never seen Dallas. Everyone believes in monsters, since they grow so much faster with all the Dark Energy flowing around. They're stronger, sneakier, and smarter. Nearly every city has at least one Hellmouth in it."

"Fearsome Critters were the first Nightmares the white man encountered in the US. They could and did look like anything. They preyed on lumberjacks, and there are so many different critters it's unbelievable. Each of them have their own names, too. There's a bird with a gun for a face, for one. The Squonk is a popular one. It's so ugly that it cries, and its tears melt it into mud. I have no idea what's up with those."
