They are able to grab a centipede and swiftly stuff it in their mouth head first. It tastes… normal.
Grimm enjoys his morsel, then continues down the chasm.
Close your eyes and visualize. The world we know today, with all its trees and sand and clay and stone. With its vast deserts and endangered rainforests. The endless horizon hiding secrets unknown to all but those who travel. Now, imagine it without mankind. The forests no longer harmed. The world colder that it is now, unaffected by the heat of pollution. No towers or dams to obstruct your view nor the rivers. The world, the planet, in its supposedly unhurt state.
Now see it, but larger. Flora the size of titans. Creatures thought dead frolicking in their shade, from the feathered reptiles to the specimens lost thanks to mortal greed. Canyons that could hold entire civilizations and still have room. Deserts more expansive than the true material plane is. Oceans whose depths reach into hell itself. A world so unimaginably huge, and so unimaginably diverse, it may well be the birthplace of the gods themselves. But it is not, for this still is the The Endless Dark.
Now, one final request. Within your mind, fold this impossible world over itself and populate with floating crystals between. Gravity follows less rules than before, and the sky is its ground and the ground is the others sky. Trees hanging from their roots and animal’s whose backs face others. The crystals that divide the two parallel yet matching realms float with no support, except perhaps the light that reflects and refracts through them, mocking sunlight from the material in this woefully underground place.
The moment Grimm crosses the edge of the chasm unto what is to him this upside down side, the gravity of his world shifts and he is no longer flapping down, but up.

Hanging on its branches are sleeping bats three times the size of the flying creature, their wrapped wings depicting rows upon rows of false eyes. The fruit he finds appears to be three intertwined, one red, the other blue, and the last yellow. His bite reveals it is but one though, and it’s pure deliciousness.
Before Correlion becomes enveloped in the shadows of the pit, they can see the edges of the seemingly rotting liquid within the vial bubble before drying to a deep and crusty black. The farther they go down, the brighter they see a light near the supposedly bottomless bottom. It seems… concentrated.
Correlion takes a soft breath, then does a nosedive down towards the light, petals fluttering to the ground behind them.

Malrick searches for Mushisama, he has only been seen twice since he came back to life but now walks openly.
He finds one of the chasm’s to his lair, a somewhat dim light shining through the endless dark. (Hehe) The red ooze surrounding it seems to flow in place, pitch black around the edges.

*woooh, the thread’s back :]*
Correlion immediately stretches out their wings as if to catch themself, looking slightly disoriented, hovering for a moment. They take a deep breath, exhaling softly as if enjoying the clean, rich air. The angel pauses, then jettisons off with a flap of their wings towards the center crystals.

As they tough the surface, they feel the slight tingling sensation of static course up their arm. The portal is warm to the touch, the surface refracting the light from nearby bolts of lightning the strike the ground within the crater at random.
Correlion attempts to enter through the portal, closing their eyes and holding their breath.
They slip through the glass surface, and find themselves in the middle of a war torn field. Broken weapons, pieces of armor, fallen banners, and environmental damage can bee seen for miles on all sides as the flashing phantom images of soldiers, beasts of war, and huge monsters can be seen fighting each other. The ghostly sounds of metal clashing, muffled shouting, explosions, and magic being cast echoes across the area, only being briefly being drowned out by the overpowering sound of lightning that strikes down from the neverending rainclouds above.

My singular brain cell bounces around the inside of my skull like the Sony logo, and every time it hits a corner, it generates a coherent thought.
Somewhere in the depths of Profanus, a bolt of purple lightning more massive than any ever seen on the plane and beyond strikes the ground with such force it leave an charred impact crater several miles wide. Within the crates are many fulgurites, massive natural sculptures of glass in a wide variety of colors that almost look like waves and streams flowing or shooting away from the center of the impact crater and creating a beautiful display. At the crater's center is a large disc of pure crystalline glass that softly glows, the surface of a portal.
Grimm flies into the portal, after spending some time admiring the beautiful formations surrounding it.
