"And... Here we are! In you go, into the cell. The human should be waiting in there!"
The Fae holds open the gate, and ushers Thorne inside.
Thorne sighs and rubs the bridge of the boney skull "I can now see where this is leading..." The two sides of the skull split in two, one side breaking off and turning into a dog-luke creature with the same head "I expected better."
The Fae looks puzzled.
"Whatever do you mean? ... Oh! You think this is a trap! Hah. It's nice to see how low you think of me. I cannot break my word. The human is in there. If the human nis not in ideal condition, I will retrieve another fro you from Deep Storage. I told you this already. I will come into the cell with you, if that would ease your worries."
"I'm sorry but fey have lied to my face more than once, I have to be completely sure that I don't end up as part of the auction somehow."
"... Auction...?"
The Fae looks confused, before waving a hand dismissively, hiding the previous confusion.
"I would never do such a thing! ... But, could you tell me more about this auction...? It seems I was trapped longer than I thought..."
"You have been bloody trapped here?" He blinks, very confused before forming together. He wrings his hands, kneeling down like how a parent would with a child "When were you first in here?'
"Oh, I wasn't trapped here. No being could trap me in my own realm! Perish the thought! ... In the early stages of the Market, I was one of the most influential Fae... I controlled the stream of goods throughout it, and I gathered quite the pretty penny because of it... Of course, not everyone was happy! ... I might've also massacred a few civilizations as well, but they deserved it! They refused to trade in the Crimson Market! I couldn't allow such disobedience! And so, I was sealed away in a dark little corner of the Market... Oh, but I clawed free! I clawed free... How do you even know of humans? I really only thought that me and a couple of scientists who studied that new species knew of them... And what did you want with one? Hm... I also keep a good breeding population of Dinosaurs... never know when a buyer might want some exotic strain of theropod... Do you want a dinosaur? I believe that I am the last broker of these creatures... Oh, I remember when those great big beasts could be found everywhere... Anyways, what were you asking? Oh. Right. I believe I answered that question of yours. Anyways, come meet the little human!"
"So you live here." Thorne offers, tilting his head from side to side "Your the reason there is so much weave here..." He connects it in his mind, blinking.
"Oh, yes, I live here. But, I've been gone for a while... Usually, this place is much more lively than this... How long was I gone...? Ah. Doesn't matter! I'm sure there are still some who remember me. And if not, I'm sure I can make some new memories! Anyways, into the cage we go, shall we?"
"You really want me in the cage.." he blinks and sighs, splitting in half. One side stays outside the cage while the other goes in.
"Meh. Good enough."
The Fae walks into the cage as well, and stares in confusion at a pile of bones sweet into a corner.
"... That's not possible."
Thorne sighs "human fragility is mind bending is it not?"
"We are all evil creatures, Doctor." Comes the whispered reply. "All that matters is what we decide is acceptable and what is not." He takes the cube back and begins to solve and scramble it over and over without even looking. "But I don't see a man-eater in you. Strange how guilt lives on."
Thorne sighs and rolls his shoulders "I have to do better, I have to BE better."
"What does better mean to you?" He looks Thorne deep in the eyes.
"I am... unsure." He confesses "I don't know if this will redeem me in any way but I feel like it should, it has to."

"... Alright... Alright. Lets do that. Lets do that."
The Fae waves a hand, and tentacles sprout up from the ground, wrapping around Thorne, and pulling both of them into a seemingly endless abyss- until, that is, Thorne opens his eyes, reunited with his other half, sitting on an armchair in the grand hall.
He forms back together, crossing a leg over the other "So... I assume this hasn't happened before?"
"Yes, this was the first time that I was banished."
"Interesting." He nods along, waving a hand. A cup of tea forms out of thin air, made of fine china "Banished as if exiled fully?"
"What does better mean to you?" He looks Thorne deep in the eyes.
"I am... unsure." He confesses "I don't know if this will redeem me in any way but I feel like it should, it has to."
"Why does it matter?" Theo interrogates. "What makes it worth all that pain? In the end, what will it change?"
"I don't bloody know! Hells! I just know I need to do better, but I don't know the meaning of the word, it could be honestly changing myself entirely or just disappearing!" He says, his tone still soft and calm despite the words he utters.
*Wendy, by 'here' do you mean inside the market, or just in the general area?*
*Here? I suppose yes, the market.*
*hokay!*

"No... Time does not pass inside these cells, unless I am near... unless the magic lost power... But that's not possible! There was enough energy to sustain it for at least two million years! ... Have I really been gone that long...?"

"Yes. I was trapped in this... this endless void. No up or down, just darkness. I managed to find a little crack every now and then, and break through, bit by bit. I thought it'd only been a couple hundred years. Clearly, I was mistaken!"
The Fae breaks down into a fit of hysterical laughter, before quickly recovering.
"Ah, enough about me. You need a human, yes? I can go and fetch one from Deep Storage."

*Oh, don't worry. Deep Storage has a lot more protections than the Cavern. Deep Storage won't let a pesky thing like death take away it's collection! The Cavern is just where the experiments happen. Deep Storage is fine. Sure, it may have gone insane, following it's last orders a bit too well, but hopefully The Fae will be delighted at the expansion of the collection!*
