A huge shadow creeps along the ground of a human village, not cast by anyone.
It slithers toward a tavern, pulling itself up into the physical plane on the doorknob. It ripples and warbles into the shape of a tall, skinny businessman whose intimidation factor is dramatically reduced by the presence of both a goofy, adorable bowtie and massive glasses. He has makeup on, but it doesn't make him look healthy or attractive, instead making him look like a theater actor portraying a near-dead man.
