“I don’t allow myself to travel. My presence is a curse, I couldn’t bear to hurt anyone.”
"Oh, don't think like that... that's not good for you..."
“No, literally. I believe my fumes contain viruses and corruption.”
"Diseases aren't curses. They are beings simply seeking to live."
“They cause suffering, though. Is something not a curse if it causes suffering?”
"Curses are simply foolish people assigning morality to nature. Diseases are a part of the natural world, however negatively we may think of them. Just like death, it is necessary." *She is lying through her teeth right now, her whole philosophy is that death and disease and other bad things are unnecessary and the gods could make a world with no death and that it serves no purpose, and it's really interesting how the both of them think similar things yet think about themselves and how they go about what they do differently.*
“I guess… maybe you’re right. No. No. Why should I hurt others? That would make me vile.”
*oooooh I want to know why she’s saying this then, but ig it’ll be revealed in rp?*
"You're not intentionally hurting others. And, I know someone who happens to be quite smart. I'm sure they could create a cure for whatever diseases float around you that could counteract it..."
*She also has a really strong motherly instinct, and sees depressed child and wants to protect it, and as such, is lying to make it feel better.*
“You think?” They look up, eyes shining with a bit of hope. They know the chances are slim, and they’re rather pessimistic, but if there’s a chance… “Who?” They ask, finally shoving out the words.
*lol this god is totally a depressed child.*
"... Well... it's... complicated. They are... well... I don't really know how to explain it... They're busy right now, though. In some sort of forest I think. Talking to someone? Not sure. Quite far from here."
“Have them come to me. I can’t possibly hurt the creatures of such a forest.”
"... Uh. They're busy. Don't like it when I interrupt them when they're busy. Very... childish." She chuckles a bit.

Kalaposi smiles shyly. This person is different to DEITY, the other kind person they’ve met. Or rather… computer. Not that they don’t like DEITY-this goddess is just so kind. They lead her through the poisonous plants until they reach a small clearing with a river running through it. The moon shines down on budding vegetable plants, and in the corner, a tree bearing luscious fruits is seeping up the moonlight. “I found the seeds in my pocket. I guess someone did want me to be happy…” They explain. “I just wish I knew who.”

She stays standing, observing the garden.
"Oh, this is amazing... I also love to garden, you know... Plants seem to be the only living things besides my ravens that don't immediately die when touching me..."
“Really?” They beam. “I guess plants do favor death. Some dabble in it, some gain their energy from it. It’s different with rot, but not that different. Still… still awfully nice.”
*Get ready for your death goddess to have a tiny clingy rot god attached to her once Kalaposi is freed from their curse >:3*
"That they do!" She smiles cheerily.
*I'm so ready the two of them are gonna be so good for each otherrrr yaaa*
“Did you originate from this world like me?”
*yeahhhhhhhhhhh I love em they’re gonna be a great team
Kalaposi: oh look it’s a flower I LOVE FLOWERS
Mother: Restructure the world so that death isn’t even necessary but do it while still managing to comfort the lil guy*
"Oh, no. I am not from this world... The friend that I mentioned earlier wanted to come here, and so I came here with them."

The clocks run out, too late to wake up. You're locked under this nightmare's thumb. Begging you hide and run.
They laugh, and thunder rolls. "Innocents? No creature is innocent" they stride forward, and pull aside a branch, revealing a wolf pack feasting on a rabbit. "Are these your Innocents? Did the rabbit deserve to die? Is the fly fated to get trapped in a web? Nature requires daily crimes. By your own logic, shouldn't this chaotic, disorderly, wicked forest be erased? Hell, you wouldn't even need to destroy it, simply make it so it never existed. Preemptively prevent millennia of suffering and chaos"
"Ah, but that is where you are wrong! Killing for food is one thing. But, I have found that humans are among the only animals that kill for reasons other than food. There are other species of course, but humans are by far the most destructive. And, don't think I didn't notice you skirting around the problems with forcing a victim to conform. By my logic, no living thing should be erased purely because of the whim of another. Nature is wild, and nature is chaos and order all wrapped up in one big ball. And, trust me, preemptively destroying things gets you trapped n a big ol' mess most of the time. Never mess with time travel. Gets you stuck. Makes paradoxes. Never good for the brain, a paradox. A pair of duck, however, are quite good for brains. Although, it depends on whether it's a group of two waterfowl, or a fruit that is crouching down to avoid something. Paris fruit are never good for you. Too squishy."
"Fine. Don't prevent it from existing. And whims? I speak from the heart. I truly wish for mortalkind to prosper, and this forest is anathema to that. Sooner or later, it will lead to much suffering and chaos. The only way to prevent that is to remove the stimulus. The only winning move is not to play"
"If that were the case, then it truly would make a strange game. But, that is not the case. Why should the forest bend to the desires of mortals? Why should those who will be persecuted simply lie down and accept their fate? Do you truly believe that it is kinder to kill a bullied group to save them from the claws of their captors? Wouldn't the true stimulus be the aggression of mortals, and not the existence of others? Would not it be more peaceful if mortal aggression be taught away?"
"If only. The humans are creations of a stubborn war god. I would teach away their aggression if I could, but alas. Not even the most brilliant orator would sway them from their nature"
"The war god may be stubborn, but an Eternity is a long time, and I am stubborn as well."
"Then you will not listen? You will not take the easy way?"
"Bah! Easy ways are overrated. No use in them. Pointless."
"I beg to differ. Easy ways are much more fun, but I don't think you'll listen to me anymore" they tip their charcoal and green pinstripe fedora, and hand you a business card that reads "Zogatg, god of snakes" before turning into a snake and slithering through the underbrush.
*Good myth. Once upon a time, when the earth was new, sarlok the serpent was walking to a forest. It was the first forest, and briz had asked sarlok to destroy it. Sarlok happened upon the god of time, in the form of a small child, and, giving a fake name, sarlok invited them to walk, for, if the thunderer could destroy the forest before it existed, no one could catch them. Sarlok and the child walked and talked for a long time. Sarlok reasoned the child wanted peace, and began explaining how chaotic the forest was. Why it shouldn't exist. Ever the trickster, sarlok made the child want peace even more. But time is stubborn, and couldn't be swayed even by sarlok's cheating. Beaten, but too proud to admit it, sarlok turned into a snake and slithered away, for no one can argue with time, and that's why forests exist*

“Garden?” They shrug. “Seems only my powers are corrupted. My hands can create healthy enough food. Would you like to see my garden? I have been tending to it a lot lately. Solitude doesn’t give you many options.” They chuckle. “Maybe this can change, though…“ Their eyes shine with hope, before growing bleak again.

Kalaposi smiles shyly. This person is different to DEITY, the other kind person they’ve met. Or rather… computer. Not that they don’t like DEITY-this goddess is just so kind.
