What does everyone think about this first theme?
'Sic Semper Tyrannis'
Build a world or society in which tyrants are cruelly----yes, cruelly----deposed of, be it a medieval kingdom full of enlightened citizens or a hyper-futuristic world recovering from the ashes of what a government gone wrong did in its throes. Whether the 'tyrants' here are truly tyrannical or not, ensure to explain why they're being swiftly replaced. The people as well----is it a powerful religious or extremist group assassinating at a whim, or a mass societal uprising against these deceivers? Perhaps they have a tyrant in power now, and are beginning to stir.
What is tyranny, and what foments it---and brings it to an end?

“Welcome to Eldoria, your new (permanent) home!”
The empire of Eldoria has been shattered and broken countless times, each time getting smaller and smaller. A former Technocracy, the nation was still weaker than its neighbors, despite its size. The surrounding nations always extorted money and resources from them. And their incompetent council could do (or would do) nothing about it.
An Arcane Sturgeon (hyperintelligent floating fish) from another country, Sturgias Sturgeon, upon immigrating to Eldoria saw countless things wrong with their current system. It was weak, indecisive, incompetent…
Sturgias ran for office in 514 AS (after Strahd), promising the people he would fix their problems. He won in a landslide. Only a few years later, he was Head of the Technocratic Council.
Using a combination of deception, political manipulation, and arcane illusion, Sturgias quickly overthrew the rest of the Council, formed Eldoria into a Facist Monarchy, and ruled as King Sturgeon the First.
With his power he quickly ousted the other nations who had plagued Eldoria for so long, he even took back his home nation. The desire for a more technologically advanced state was evident in the nation, so King Sturgeon quickly changed the system from a Fascist Monarchy to a Fascist Technocracy.

Vorinclex (copied name): An All-Consuming Happiness
Vorinclex devours you from the innards with your own glee. Excitement, entertainment, dopamine---in this place, all are provided in vast quantities, handed to you on your own rectangular, aluminum-glass platter.
In this endless, compact, sprawling expanse that now dominates the entirety of Earth's surface---including the oceans---buildings rise to the clouds, grim and dank and metallic in their strength.
No-one takes notice of this, however: why would they when they can be watching television? Television and media, as well as the lust for sexual appeal fomented by the two, have skyrocketed in popularity since 2050, when UNEP said that there was no returning from climate change. Now, 20.2 billion people call Earth their home.
However, unlike many would think, petty wars have almost completely ended---although some small skirmishes still are working their course with those who wish to keep their lands, most don't even----or wouldn't even----notice, because they're too glued to the screen.
Channel Five, a bloody, gory channel jam-packed with contestants dying in macabre fashion, is most popular----and, even though all countries have been unified beneath the screen, it's a marvel that almost no one's tried to kill another yet.
