Chloe leads River over to the Raven and the Dove. "That's the symbols of our two houses. Maybe if we both touch it?" Chloe places a hand on the book.
River hesitates, before cautiously placing their hand on the book as well, the other hand clutching their pendant tightly.
As we place our hands on the book, a loud click sounds and the bookcase slides away, revealing a staircase leading down. "Let's go! C'mon!"
"A-alright!" Chloe's eagerness starts to affect River, making them a bit more excited for this, which, alongside their curiosity and reluctance to appear rude, are probably the only things preventing her from making some random excuse and leaving.
As Chloe and River descend into the steps, the bookcase seals shut behind us. Torches flicker on, with the stairway being carpeted stone with wood-paneled walls. The staircase spirals down... and down... and down... until the bottom appears, with a large oaken door with a raven and a dove on it. "So this is a Vaskar dungeon! But also... Mannith as well?"
"That's... is that not normal?"
"Normally the houses tend to be more... separate. This is interesting, to say the least." The door is closed, but unlocked. "Shall we?"
"Sure!" They smile, opening the door.
The door opens to a small box in the wall. It's 4 by 4 squares, with some filled in with numbers.
"... Oh. That's rather anticlimactic..."
"Wait, this is a puzzle box. We'll need to solve it to get in."
"Huh..." They look at the numbers, trying to figure out what they could mean. *Is this sudoku?*

Through all the multiverse, I am The Singulairity.
On a seemingly normal day at a school that is anything but, a tremor shakes the ground around the central Gazebo. The guards stumble a bit, on edge. The portal continues to swirl, unbothered. That is, until, what looks like a crack forms on it. The guards yell out in alarm, drawing the attention of some students, but it doesn't seem serious enough for any major responses, yet. That changes quickly though, as some unseen force pierces through the crack in the portal, widening it, as pieces of what seem to be reality itself shatter from the void with the sound of broken glass. An exasperated shout emerges from the void, and the voice of what seems to be a teenage girl comes from the abyss. "UGH! Fine. I'll go to this "school" or whatever. But not because you told me to, or because of a stupid invitation, Mom! I'm leaving because I want to!" The roar of something large blasts through the rift. "Shut up! You're just so... UGH! I HATE YOU!" And with that, a figure emerges from the abyss, a tall-ish teenaged girl with grey skin and multiple rows of eyes below her normal ones, dotting her cheek. Her hair is made of dark purple tentacles, curling up beneath the rim of the yellow wool hat she has on. She's wearing what appears to be some sort of large baggy shirt of an unknown cloth, as well as faded blue trousers of some sort. Around her neck is this metal contraption, shaped like the letter C but with large pads on the end. At one pad, a wire dangles out, and disappears into the large pocket on her shirt, located at the stomach. Her hands are also tucked inside said pocket. She rolls her eyes as the shattered pieces of reality float up and repair the rift in the portal, sealing up the crack. "Huh. So this is the Academy. ... This sucks." She walks away from the Gazebo, ignoring the confused guards.
