I don't particularly think a mafia gang would get along with the rest of civilization, especially if they murdered people in the night. That seems highly unproductive. Of course, they could be assassins and spies, but random is... probably not the best way of choosing who to kill.

I mean yes, but how is this god still allied with the others. if i were a god, i wouldnt want people running around murdering followers/potential followers. I'm sure many others on the pantheon would feel the same way, and Veldoran would probably be kicked off.
Also how is a society supposed to function if the gods are literally sending their followers to kill people at random. Like. that seems like it would cause a lot of rebellions (even more than there would have been before), and it also seems like killing people at random might target a high ranking mortal and basically destroy the country.

Then, the killings wouldn't be random. They would be assassinations of people in power. The other gods would likely hate him then, and this seems more like chaos and destruction rather than terror. You can be terrified without the threat of death.

Does Hades have a throne on Olympus?
I mean hades is the ruler of the underworld. he rules over death and the underworld, not anarchy. The olympians also rule over the world, not a civilization, so obviously they have more freedom to like... kill people from places they don't like. These gods are leaders, and therefore have to show that they can lead.

No. And what is this supposed to mean? Hades is not actively conspiring to overthrow Olympus. Hades's thing isn't that he kills people. Hades is not the god of terror.

Dang it! It auto corrected my acronym, F.O.N.A.F. Focus, Organize, Name, Actualize, Furnish.
Focus, focus on one thing and write down everything that you think of even remotely connected to it.
Organize, sort it out and put into 3 areas, Close to idea, Far from idea, and random.
Name, Put a name to the face of the idea.
Actualize, write the organized ideas into a story.
Furnish, make adjustments to the story to make it flow better.
Oh for the problem earlier, I think assassins would really work better for Veldoran to like… stay as part of the pantheon, but if you want to keep them as a mafia boss, they’ll be enemies with definitely Warden and Walker, and probably Cecil and maybe the rest of the pantheon??? I can’t speak for anyone else tho, so idk.
Warden: Adventurers’ Guild
Walker: Investigators? maybe a political leader
Cecil: Artist’s Guild, probably involving architecture and building as well.
We definitely need a military leader, which could be Fury, those could be the people keeping others in line (that could be what Veldoran does if you’re willing to shift his personality), or we could have a separate faction. We also need someone to be the figurehead and a few political figures.
Also I suggest we go with a god, demigod, monster, human system for species’. A bit like Greek mythology.
