With a howl of wind, seeds start to sprout in a large area, turning into wicked black trees, definitely not the same type as the seeds that were planted. A few people from different villages were sent to investigate. Then collect resources. Then start to build near there. As the first building was constructed, something strange happened. Ivy grew over it, and anyone who made contact with the ivy started to turn... wild. They attacked the building, then raced into the forest, where many were seen being strangled by the wild plants, sanity coming into their eyes at the last possible moment. The endeavor was quickly abandoned, and the forest was named the Wilds, becoming a forbidden place. Thankfully, it was fairly small. But that may not last... and its goddess has her eyes on the world.
Ari'shal, or rather, their avatar, sat calmly in a tree, inspecting a newly-made sprig of asphodel. The visible portion of their many hidden cartoonish arms were occupied writing in an odd book, though the letters didn't seem to be of a known language.
Umbra floats towards Ari’shal, seemingly in deep thought.
“Greetings. I presume you are a deity like me? Have you seen..” Umbra pauses, thinking what to say. “A glowing glass? It is of utmost importance that I find it. I had it on my possession before I arrived, but when I found myself here, I no longer had it.”
After a moment, Ari'shal slips the book and flower into their cloak, before turning to Umbra, and replying. "Hello! Yes, I believe I am. As for your question, I don't believe I've seen anything like that."
Umbra looks slightly annoyed, her grey skin flushing slightly. “How could I lose it?” She says mostly to herself before continuing “I do not believe I have introduced myself. I am Umbra. What is your domain?”
Ari'shal chuckles a bit, before replying. "I am Ari'shal, and my domain is Fear and Madness."
Umbra’s mood changes, and a faint smile can be noticed on her face. “Some mortals have called me mad. Such gnats learn very quickly what I am. Enlightened. Once you have seen the darkest depths of the sea, and the farthest reaches of the cosmos, you… perceive things differently.”
Ari'shal smiled. "Yes, you certainly do." They absentmindedly began to write in their book again. "Poor fools, always calling What they cannot hope to understand 'mad'. Ah, but if you do not mind my asking, What might your domain be?"
“My domain is any place of darkness. The bottom of the sea, and the cosmos, mostly. I find the sea to be a calming presence, considering my…. Nature.” She pauses again, clearly wondering whether to continue on “In fact, the only reason why I am not a threat to you now is this jellyfish.” She points to the top of her head.
"How interesting." Ari'shal replies, making a note in their book. "What does that creature do?" They gesture toward the jellyfish.
“I do not know in truth. Maybe I feel closer to the seas and cosmos when I wear it. Maybe it is some mythical creature.“
"Odd." Ari'shal lets out a hm. "Perhaps if you tell me more about this... 'glowing glass' I can help you find it?"
Umbra thinks for a while, debating on how much to tell Ari’shal. “The glass appears like a jar. The glow inside it moves around, and absorbs any light put near it.” Umbra is clearly hiding some details.
