All hail the great and mighty platypus.
Resisting is simply standing in front of the tide and pushing at it. Even if you endure at first, you will eventually break down. Adapting, by contrast, is turning into a fish.

Platyposeidon is a pun I came up with when I was little and liked platypus puns. And the Z is just because I found a thread called “count as high as you can until somebody with a Z in their username posts!"

20 years ago, when new episodes of DBZ on Toonami were still a thing, I joined the anime club at my high school and this is a rough approximation of my name in Japanese. Or at least that was my understanding back then. I've learned better since, but the damage is done and I'm attached.
I used to go by LaserLight, or just Laser, in Ye Olden Dayes when a younger, infinitely dumber Rei picked a name he thought sounded 'cool' for his first online forum experience at an Armored Core game board. My primary AC at the time was an energy-focused bit of nonsense, so I thought it fit. I stuck (or was stuck) with that name for over a decade and a half, and I still answer to it.
I chose to redesignate myself 'Yurei' about threeish years ago when I finally acknowledged to both myself and the world that I was not as much of a 'he' as the world would like me to be. I mostly picked it because it was a fairly innocuous Weeb Name ('Yurei' means 'Ghost' in Japanese, and I've often felt like something of a digital phantom in many places and hobbies I've engaged with online), and it shortened to Rei. Which, to an anime nerd like me, is a short, snappy, mostly feminine nickname, but when I give it to folks at the Starbucks or such they hear it as "Ray" and think nothing of it. They can say Ray, but I hear Rei and it makes me smile just a little bit.
The "1453" is because Yurei was long since taken when I signed up for Twitch/DDB, and so long as I needed numberpasta anyways I figured I'd use my standard numeric designation code. Or at least the shortened version of it, the full code is 1453-R. Why I have a numeric designation code is an in-joke too deep for me to explain to randos on the Intarwebs, but I have one. Makes it very easy to remember my numberpasta add-on when I log into the ol' account.

I made this in 2020 so that's the 20 part and I just thought of a random fruit for the orange part.

I had a character I designed long ago and never got to play.
He was Noble forest gnome, cavalier.
Which meant he as one of the hidden folk dressed (hid) as a rock gnome commoner.
He was a member of the order of Ill Luck, he was tasked with searching out, lost gnome-folk, gnome friends, and friends of friends.. and most scarily talk to them and Balancing things with those who threatened them..
The most important precept of a forest gnome noble.. "Never have to many Big-nosed at a party, it will scare the people."
And an important gnomish precept; "nothing ever gets done without a good party."

Ameria is a character from a series called Slayers. She’s very much a comfort character and a big reason why I usually play clerics. My first character (Ame) was heavily based on her personality and abilities when I started playing in 2001.

Back when AOL messenger was a thing, I wanted a screenname for it.
At the time I worked at a scout camp called Baiting Hollow. I was the Trading Post Manager.
Thus my coworker (and best friend) came up with the idea Hollowtpm. Which has been my online presence since then. I've never changed it.
