I use Rod of Absorption on magic missile and the crossbow missed. on my turn I will sheath my sword and pull out my shield. (i'm not done yet)
I then I will cast cure wounds using the Rod of Absorption at the 5th level. 32

second, you have to roll again because you started your turn in the Black Star 53

Edit I checked and you wound have dash twice to get out of black start in one turn, because your speed is halved
