How I defeated an entire faction with a deck of cards
Our dm was running a homebrew and during that homebrew the party was tasked to defeat an evil corporation by a council of high mages. To prepare for that mission we each got a side quest to get an item for said mission, I ended up tracking a thief who stole a hat of disguise. My searches ended up with me arriving at the secret entrance to one of the factions, (not related to the evil corporation) and somehow managed to guess not only the password but the password of the high ranking members and I was allowed into a party consisting of the leaders of the faction. The leaders offered me a drink but before I accepted the glass I challenged the leaders to a game of blackjack, but little did they know I had a deck of many things and one of them pulled a card which ended up summoning a devil as an enemy of the leader of the faction and that devil proceeded to massacre the entire faction.
And that’s how I defeated an entire faction with a deck of cards
