Oh so many, but I'll stick with two. My all-time favorite horror is probably The Haunting from 1963 (I was born in '68), and of my all-time favorite comedies is The Great Race (1965), starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, Natalie Wood and Peter Falk.

The Haunting, man I'm a youngin by comparison ('86) but man that movie might have given me just as many nightmares as Alien did. "You're crushing my hand" brrr, chills man chills.
Heavy Metal would be one as well, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. The second one I did not know what I was getting into when my family convinced me to watch it, and now I chuckle watching people watch it for the first time and squirm a little. Made me appreciate the music of Meatloaf as well.
For music there are a number, Heart, Pat Benatar, Roxette, Eurythmics ( I do like female vocalists) Steve Miller Band, Alan Parson Project.
Star Wars/Trek, Robotech animated series, these are some of the things that were before my time that I have truly appreciated.
Had one last one to add "The Thing" I don't think I have ever been so revolted and horrified and terrified than by that movie. The tension of no one can be trusted, the events that follow their attempts at CPR on one of the men, nightmare fuel. The Haunting, Alien, and The Thing are still some of the scariest movies I can think of (with a side of Killer Clowns from Outer Space : P ) and haunt me to this day.

"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
Movies. Star Wars I through VI, Men in Black I* and II, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and some Jackie Chan movies. Maybe one or two others that I can't think of right now. Raiders of the Lost Ark would probably be on this list except for one thing--spiders. Why'd it have to be spiders? I hate spiders!
Music. A bunch of Christmas carols, a dozen or two each supposedly country songs (Jolene, Big Iron, King of the Road, Sixteen Tons, 9 to 5, Walking After Midnight, I Feel Lucky, etc.--like I said, supposedly country) and songs from other genres (a few by Elvis, Blame it on the Bossa Nova, a few disco songs, Old Time Rock & Roll, quite a few by the Carpenters, Moody River, American Pie, Party Like it's 1999, Monster Mash, etc.), and a select few classical songs (Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, one of Beethoven's symphonies, and a few that I don't remember who wrote).
*It's nice to have a villain you can hate unreservedly and with all your heart once in a while.
I haven't watched any of them for at least 20 years, and I don't think I will bother in the next 20. Acting wasn't better back then, and the SFX and quality of filming were cutting edge in the same way as a flint axe is sharper than a club. I think films hit a plateau in the early eighties* and has pretty much stayed there, gimmicks like 3D and HD aside. (I hate HD films - they look too sharp. Beyond real life sharp. Backgrounds are out of focus in real life.)
70's rock is still better than just about anything modern bands are producing.
Is D&D any better now? I tell myself it is, as otherwise I have wasted an awful lot of money upgrading from 1st Edition. (Including stepping backwards into basic because D&D Set 5: Immortals Rules looked so intriguing.)
*Star Wars doesn't count.
Edit: I just checked when Mathias' choice of MiB2 was released and now I am depressed. Is it really that old? Am I really that old? I need a nap!
What are some movies and music you like that was made before you were born?
