Still reeling from the transition between rooms, Quixote groans in exasperation. "Another room? Are you kidding me?" He leans in to view the message, quietly whispering the words as he reads. He then scans the islands, to see if there's anything else of importance around them.

"Hey there's something written over that portal," Zuli says, unaware that Arthilas has already seen it. "It's to far away to read though. Someone'd have to have hawk eyes to read that."
Zuli stands back up, "This is just another big riddle. I hate it so much. Anyone have any ideas? ...what if we jumped into the lava...?" She eyes the space between the islands as if seriously contemplating that idea.

"I can see it too! And I can read it!" Arthilas smiles. "It says 'Beginnings are key!'"
He then looks at the stone tablet and starts thinking.
"Beginnings are key...? Maybe they're referring to the first letters of the words we got?"
He sits down, draws his sword and starts writing on the ground, arranging the words from the stone tablet in new orders, writing other words and marking their first letters, until he shouts "I think, I've got it!" (Continuing in a spoiler in case you want to solve the riddle by yourself too)
He writes down the following:
Always - Never Dry - Wet Day - Night Full - Empty Far - Near Naughty - Nice Old - New Exit - Entrance Fail - Success Good - Nasty Salty - Sweet
"The first letters do not seem to form any word I know..." Then he looks again and realizes something. "Wait, what if the first letters are supposed to be directions? I think we have to jump north from here, to the island right in front of us. Then we have to go to the left one, the one to the east, and so forth!" He looks at the others and then jumps over to the island in the north, hoping that it works.
"Well," Quixote chides, "I would not be surprised if jumping worked." He, too, eyes the lava as if that idea were an attractive one. "But 'beginnings are key' makes no sense to me. I will just stand here and follow whoever gets it right."

Darklis nods slowly as she puts the puzzle together in her head. "Yes, that makes sense. So we go North, west, North, east, north, north, north, east, south, north south?"
"Well, might as well try it." With that she tries to jump from island to island in that order.
Man I'm glad this didn't die. :D

You don’t see anything else of note.

West results in another eruption of lava.
