Thoruk is already sat on the edge of the ledge when everyone comes in. He has managed to coax a butterfly to land on his finger, and seems otherwise quite unaware of his surroundings.
“Ugh, logic puzzles? My jester once tried to entertain me with these… he wasn’t my jester for long. What do you all think? The solution of which ones to step on only requires a little thinking but still. Could we just try running across and suffer the consequences..?” How far down is the tiles? Would we die by trying to go down to them? Or could I just step off my ledge and walk across?
(it's frustrating that I want to try and work it out but the idea of Thoruk getting this right is laughable XD)
(oh what the hey)
Thoruk continue to study the butterfly. Then, as if the butterfly had said something to him, his eyebrows shoot up, he says "Oh!", and he shifts himself off the edge and lands on the Green tile.
"Hmm, let's see...." George, very excited by a logic puzzle, contemplates the requirements for several minutes.
Okay, so the first thing I came up with was this, which doesn't work:
Forest
Ocean
Earth
Moon (I can't exactly make it white....)
Sun
Oranges
Blood
Blood can't come last, and one tile comes between Blood and Moon. I now also realize that Sun comes before (not immediately before, obviously) Ocean in the "2 are between Sun and Ocean" thing. So I come to this:
Forest
Sun
Oranges
Blood
Ocean
Both Earth and Moon have to come in this spot, so this doesn't work.

And now I'm at a loss. What do you all think?

"The butterfly whispered the aswer to Thoruk, so Thoruk knows the way!"
Assuming Thoruk survived jumping onto the Green tile, he will now hop to the Yellow tile.

"Thoruk... that's not... butterflies don't...." George is very confused how and why a butterfly whispered the answer to Thoruk, or anyone, for that matter.
(Also, was Thoruk referring to himself in the third person?)

When Thoruk shifts himself off the edge, he discovers that the air above the green tile is surprisingly solid. When he jumps to the yellow tile, he discovers that that air there is also solid.
To everyone else, it appears that Thoruk is hovering in midair and he jumps from spot to spot.
"Well this looks fun." Kay says as she watches Thoruk. After he jumps from to the yellow tile, Kay jumps after him. "I have no idea what i'm doing. But i think that butterfly may be on to something."
Alexander feels useless and unsettled as he realizes that for some reason his angel mode continues to slip out of his reach as if some unholy curse was keeping it from him. He listens carefully to George and Kay, nodding in agreement. He flinches as Thoruk, presumably guided by a butterfly, leaps onto the green tile and then to the yellow one.
(to his butterfly) "Hah! So this is how you fly!" Thoruk will then jump onto the Orange tile, then the Red. Whether he needs to or not, he is balancing on one foot with each jump, as though he was playing hopscotch.

Sometimes Thoruk narrates himself.
I am interested to see if the butterfly lied and if Thoruk's about to get mushed.

I think George is right

"huh, i mean it works..." Angelino will leap to the green tile then the yellow one.. following suite.
"Yeah, I guess so...."
George will follow the rest of them.

Thoruk and everyone following him does not fall(yet), but the sensation of hopping from nothing to nothing is quite unsettling.

"You are a clever butterfly!"
Thoruk will continue to the blue tile, then the white tile, and then finally to the brown one and (assuming he survived), off to the opposite ledge!
