I'd say do 24 hours left. If there's still people who haven't submitted their actions by the end of night, just skip them and move along. You might want to actually shorten the duration of night to 24 hours, cause most people should be on at some point during that time and these 48 hour night periods are kinda dragging out the game. (Keep day the same, though)
