The world is dead and the gods have abandoned us. At least that's what I imagined he thought, as he sat in the interrogation room in the small police station on the outskirts of that run down old town. As the individual stepped into the dimly lit chamber a light was flicked on shinning directly into the eyes of the scruffy, dirty, and beaten  man handcuffed in his seat. A file was tossed on to the old table as the man softly asked: Why? the individual waited silently as the man slowly opened the file, revealing the horrors captured within. Corpses frozen in time by the images presented before him. all of them seeming to be different ethnicity, body type, background, and gender. All killed in wildly different ways, some of which are unrecognizable at best. The printed pages in the back simply explained the nature of each kill and a few theories related to each one. The final page explained various pieces of evidence left by the murderer to tie them together and then to the man in the chair. the final sentence read due process has already judge you and the sentence for these horrid crimes is death. the man panicking started to protest and stand from his seat. This was quickly brought under control with the clicking sound of a stun gun. After a muffled click and a low popping sound two slightly distorted voices rang out over the intercom; one female and then one male. Fighting will only cause you more pain. Don't resist if you know what's good for ya, the female voice said. The male voice followed up with, that isn't they worst of what can be done to you. Try fighting if you want it to get rough again. The light went out leaving behind the dim room again. This time the broken man slowly complied as he way lead out of the room by the dark figure into the hall. All he could do is continually repeat he was innocent and ask why him as they walked slowly down the cold, dark, brick hallway toward the dented metal door. Inside the small room sat what most only refer to as the chair. Once one arm was locked in the cuffs were removed and the second arm followed. The cold metal bowl was placed around his head and drops some liquid fell down his face and the sides of head. As the old switch was flipped the screams of pain from the distorted face echoed throughout the station. When the noised finally subsided the switch was flipped back, and the dark individual in a hushed whisper simply stated, that makes 17.
