Hollow Hunt (Signup Thread) (Not mafia)

Welcome one and all to something I hope will become a new forum tradition, like the mafia games that we’ve done in the past! 

In this game, we will have a group of 6-13 players, depending on how many people are interested, playing a game with DnD rules in most areas. The premise is that the group of you have been trapped somewhere with a monster on the loose. Your characters must escape from the monster or kill the monster (if you wish to). I want only one character max in each class in this game. And what is the 13th player, you may ask? That person will be playing the monster that is hunting you. 

A few base rules for mechanical character creation:

Players start at level 3, no banned classes, subclasses, and races, standard array or rolled points, one reroll. 5e, core books allowed, 3rd party, homebrew, and 5.5e must be approved. No magic items. Leveling will be very rare, and casualties will probably be high, meaning that you have to be smart to stay in the game long. Cooperation is encouraged, and this is the first playtest of something like this, so expect it to not be great, as the monster or you guys might be too powerful. 

To join the game, please post the word "spooky" in my thread along with the class you wish to play (or monster, if you want to be the monster). I will PM you a few questions if you wish to be the monster, and if I think you’re fit for the job, I’ll close the role. 

I am always looking for help, so if you would like to be staff, ask me and I’ll add you to the Staff PM (I may not add you if I don’t know you very well). Staff responsibilities involve working out lore, making sure everyone follows the rules, and working out extra systems (like the fear system, coming soon). 

I do not have much down for the first game, as this is just a signup and an interest check, but I want it to be fairly halloween themed, so it will either take place in a haunted house or a haunted forest, with a monster akin to the headless horseman or a vampire. 

I want this to involve a bit of roleplay too. Give your characters motivation, add conflict between other characters, have backstories (I will be releasing more world info soon so you have a base to make a backstory). 

A few base rules are: No NSFW, please do not hate on people (examples would be transphobia, homophobia, racism, sexism, ableism). Also please be patient, the rules are a WIP but I would like them done before halloween. 

The only other staff currently is Augur

 Also Ranger Gloom Stalker would be such an OP combo, that plus Shadar-Kai or Changeling is prolly what I’ll take

 Illusion would be fun for a brutelike monster, but that's probably not how it'll go. Still fun tho!
