Simple, roleplay people inside a tavern. This can feel weird at times, but if you feel weird roleplaying you're probably doing it right.

Rule One: This is a tavern in the dnd world sooooo...

I'll start

Finally, I have achieved my dream. My own place. A tavern to call my own... But will it be as popular. I have no games, no workers, and no patrons... I put up a sign outside reading " Help Wanted - Competitive wages - Wanted : Chefs, Waiters, People who can work the Gambling tables "

Click is played with as many people as needed 

Simple place bets, people roll 1d6 whoever rolls the highest wins ( Or in the result of two or more people rolling the highest it goes to another round )

Worried that people won't come if there are no workers I get some animated armor and teach them basic cooking skills. Now I am ready.

Aha! A chance! 
"A bard thats a chef" they said

"Its outrageous!" They said

"He'll never find a job"

But alas! Here I am now. Starting my first day at the Liberated Dragon

I wish to be a chef at this fine new establishment.

You see, My name is Hal, and I have been scouring the land looking for a place where I can cook good food for good people.

Okay Hal, I can give you a job here, sadly we don't have many customers, but I can't promise good people

"Thats good enough for me. I make an excellent Knucklehead Trout stew.

I am here to apply for the position of waiter.

(says a halfling.

My name is Riddle Tealeaf, at your service.

(he says with a bow.

They said: a paladin as a waiter? Who would take him? He doesn't stand a chance.

But I will show them, oh yes I will.

Excellent, We almost have everything. Now we need people to be here as customers so we can start a glorious empire and get much gold, *cough* I mean to serve and help people

You need not pay this virtueous halfling paladin!

(says Riddle, as he attempts to put one leg on a chair that is head-height for him.

Yep planning to do that anyway, then I hand this little halfling several gold pieces. Oh, here let me get you a smaller chair.

" You know what, It's kinda nice that everyone here was told they couldn't do something but then decided they could... "

* I'm going to be honest, imagining the halfling trying to climb onto the chair was kinda adorable *

I am not adorable!

(the halfling says.

I am fierce!

(he attempts to pull his spear off his back, but trips on it and falls over, cursing.

" My god, you are officially my favorite worker " says the owner Looking around sadly as it appears that no one is coming in

Should I make another worker? Am I allowed to do that?

Does it matter?

Go for it, really nothing interesting will happen until we get people. Or we can just focus on the other tavern we all are in. But that means losing the adorable halfling

A Tiefling grudges up to the restaurant. 

"Listen, I heard you have a job opening" He says, not very enthusiastic.

"And my dad (A devil) has sent me to do service in the mortal world for borrowing  his trident."

He looks up at the sky angrily.

" I feel like I'll get struck by lightning if I don't accept you. You can go work with the other chef. "
