I to some extent agree with this. (Sorry for bringing up a dead conversation. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me) I personally own a gun and do not think that guns rights itself is the problem, it's people's abuse of guns. Also there is the fact that the Bill of Rights gives us Americans the right to own guns. Now I'll freely admit my biases. I'm a conservative republican and grew up hunting, but I don't think that gun rights alone are the problem. Also there's the whole freedom vs. safety debate, and Markell's point I have above. I personally am on the side of gun rights.
