Great. I started running Rime of the Frostmaiden and the players are trapped in a blizzard.
Awesome! I love RotFM.
I’m just worried that they’ll have a lot of trouble with the Sephek Kaltro fight, because he has regeneration and i don’t think they have any fire spells.

Maybe let them find a scroll with one or more fire spells on it. Do they have a caster who can cast them?

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

I don’t think so, but one of the characters might have create bonfire.
Let them find a scroll with spells that can be cast by the party’s casters and give them one or more fire spells on the scroll. Fireball is the obvious choice, but Burning Hands could be useful too if you think Fireball is too powerful. I forget what level the players are when they face Sephek Kaltro. Anyway, this will give them a much needed edge and help counter the Regeneration.

The party is level one and the party Consists of a dwarf paladin, a doppelgänger rogue disguising as a human, and a fairy merchant. (Currently the only spellcaster)

Oh, cool, a Merchant!
Yeah. I think they’re going to have the swindler subclass.

Then I would recommend letting them find (or even purchase in Ten-Towns) a scroll with Burning Hands on it. Can fairy merchants cast wizard spells?

No, they have their own spell list. But at least they have create bonfire.

That’s something, I guess. Yeah, I guess a wizard scroll wouldn’t be very useful if none of the party can cast wizard spells.
Good luck. I hope the fight against Sephek Kaltro is truly epic and I hope your players win in the end.

How long does everybody think this thread will last? it's been going since 2017, and shows no sign of stopping soon.

Probably until the end of DDB.
