Classes modify how you play the game by changing your equipment and ability score rolls, and also by giving you a ribbon feature. They are optional and if you don't take one, you can take a feat (scroll down a bit, there is a lot of free stuff, including extra classes. Look for Unheroic Feats.) and you roll two ability scores as 4d6 drop the lowest instead of 3d6, which is the regular.
There are tables for gear. Just tell me what you want and I'll think about giving it to you based on your class.
