I've decided to try my hand at making my own RPG once more! It will include:
Degrees of success/failure. No matter what you roll, something interesting will happen.
Slay The Spire style armor system, where certain actions, IE blocking or attacking in melee, will give you a buffer of temporary hit points (closer to the Abjuration Wizard's Arcane Ward but with no upper limit) until the end of your turn, while actual armor will give you free buffer hit points at the start of your turn.
Three-action system, like Pathfinder 2e
Doom points! There is a pool of points on the table. Players and monsters can increase or decrease the pool by using or refueling various abilities (I want to quick-craft a bomb, gain 3 Doom. I want to comfort someone, lose 1 Doom). Certain enemies get stronger the higher the Doom Pool is, and the Doom Pool has an upper limit, so attempts to create Doom above that limit auto-fail.
Tags like Pathfinder 2e, making it very clear when rules apply. For example, your character is immune to airborne hazards. Does a bullet count? No, because it lacks the Airborne Hazard tag.
Traits! In place of ability scores, you have Traits. They have charges that you can spend to use powerful abilities, and if you run out of charges you lose access to a passive ability it grants you. For example: Tough as Nails. Active (spend a charge): Ignore all effects of one instance of damage or an attack. For example, if someone dropped a bomb on you that would knock you down and damage you, you expend a charge to neither be knocked down or damaged. Charged (passive ability while it has charges): Immunity to Environmental damage. Passive (as long as you have this trait, you gain this benefit): +2 to all rolls with the Resistance tag.
All of this is subject to change.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.

Oh, another thing I want to include is a standard DC, like in MÖRK BORG, so most of the time you won't even have to ask the GM "does that hit/succeed?"
