I'm pondering. Hear me out, this is weird, but its fun to think about
If someone is really, really great, then its like the scale has extended, cause they're better that just normal great. Same goes for being really bad. I'm thinking, is that why it sounds kinda weird if someone says they're really, really really okay? like, you can't extend being okay, its just... okay. There's no exaggeration. The scale, from bad to great, is one dimensional. If you are really really something, we immediately think that you're going either towards great or bad, or even further than them. So if you're really really okay, then its like, "wait, won't that just become great or bad if you go far enough? You have to go in one direction or another, either feeling better or worse. There isn't another option, that's how feelings work." This is like a subconscious thing I think, something which would be awesome to move away from. I'm literally just overthinking this into existence right now, I have way too much free time, but what if feelings could like, not be seen as 1 dimensional? What if they were 3 dimensional? We all know feelings are complicated, so instead of having good, bad, and everything else in between, what about if it was more open? What about, if you're really, really okay, it creates another line coming out of the original good to bad scale, making a shape like this, for okayness to have as much depth as good and bad?
I think too much
