Fun fact, Jerry is just naturally under the confusion spell all the time. “Well, these trees can’t possibly do more mental damage than is already there!” Jerry will run to the door, dropping small grenades on his way.

Thoruk is going to try and continue to set his trap...
Confusion: 10
to be continued...
(that was a 4, no action for me)
The rope has to do something. Thoruk stares blankly at it, then looks up blankly at the tree. Perhaps, it is supposed to decorate the tree? Thoruk hesitantly moves the rope towards it, then stops - what if I am the tree? Thoruk makes one loop around his arm before stopping again. What if the rope is the tree? Thoruk stands the rope up on its end, and lets go. It flops to the floor, like a rope. Maybe it's not a tree. Or maybe I'm a lumberjack?

Whilst Jerry is trying to walk through the trees, Thoruk (now recovered to his normal sense of confusion) will try to finish setting up his blanket trap - blankets corners tied to the rope, rope looped over the tree, bread on the blanket and ready action to yank the rope as soon as the bread disappears, closing the blanket and hoisting it into the tree.
Wisdom save, in case he needs it for interacting with the tree again: 8

Thoruk picks the rope up and steps determinedly up to the tree...
7...
(Sweet! That was a 10!)
...and loops it over the branch above him, making sure it moves freely when he pulls it.
Thoruk steps back from the tree, pulls the rope into position, and then carefully opens his lockbox containing the bread. He throws a piece onto the middle of the blanket, and then primes himself to pull the rope the moment the bread disappears.

Wisdom save for escaping confusion: 6
Dexterity save for Jerry's grenades (advantage due to danger sense): 26
(PS: Welcome to Jerry. I made the mistake of giving him a room which only needed to not set on fire for them to get out. They didn't have a chance to attempt the puzzle, Jerry just immolated them all!)
