Mendigo went over and came back, did he get anything? Can he communicate anything? What’s he doing?
Mendigo didn't bring anything back, and he continues to trace the outline of the amulets (which are round) and point to the corridor whenever you question him.
Oh, danger Fun! * I trail after you with my new cat friends pausing at the lava* ... meh *I pull my bow and a water arrow out, shooting the lava then walking across the new stone* Whatcha doing?
The water arrow hisses in the lava, and the first 5ft. of the corridor turns to steaming stone. You have the presence of mind to move very quickly over the stone which turns back into lava just as you step off of it with a loud "plop!".
I am a Yuan-ti Wizard. I literally do not have a name (I won't be staying long, anyway). I pick up the iron golem amulet and misty step across the lava. If the other side is too far away to misty step, I cast fly on myself instead and fly over there. I inspect the pedestal, looking specifically to see if there might be a place on it to put the amulet I grabbed. Investigation if needed: 22
You pick up the amulet and make to walk over to the first corridor, but you only manage to get 5ft. from the podium before some invisible force prevents the amulet from moving any further!
I put the iron golem amulet on. If that does nothing after waiting for several seconds, I proceed to try to remove the glowing crystal from the amulet.
You put the iron golem amulet on. You immediately feel cold and heavy, your limbs seem to weigh as much as a mountain, but you can still move, though ponderously.
He smiles. "Tempest! I want you to put on the Storm Giant amulet and see if you can open the door." Tempest excitedly follows his orders.
Tempest picks up the storm giant amulet and puts it on. He moves over to the giant door, and heaves at the doorknob - but the door doesn't shift. You notice that the storm giant amulet doesn't have the same glow about it as the iron golem one, and a hole in the same place as the iron golem one has a crystal.
Also, welcome to all the new players!
I try to wade thorough the lava and see what is on the stone pedestal at the end of the corridor.

You step into the lava, and immediately sink you your chest - but the lava doesn't feel hot to you, if anything it's a pleasant coolness. You wade slowly and ponderously to the end, and find that there are steps under the surface. You haul yourself out, the lava sloughing off you and leaving your skin and equipment untouched.
The pedestal in front of you has a circular impression in it. You gauge that the hole is about the size of the amulet.

“That’s Mendigo, he’s a puppet made of the burning souls of the ones I’ve killed! He’s infused with a fire elemental!” And when jerry is talking about Mendigo it turns it’s face to look at him, there’s a pattern on scorch marks that make a smiley face.
"Oh, that's....pleasant. I am thrilled to meet such... unique individuals. May I ask how you managed to infuse a fire elemental into such a object ?" Flare looked really interested in the puppet.

I make sure to get completely out of the lava, then take the amulet off and put it in the hole in the pedestal.
As you remove the amulet, you feel immediately lighter, and quite a bit warmer - not dangerously, but not comfortable. You put the amulet into the hole, and as you do so, the glowing crystal pushes up and out of it, landing in your hand. The amulet itself stops glowing.
Anyone who is in the main room notices that the first of the recesses in the door now has a small fire burning in it.
I then put the crystal into the zombie amulet, put it on, and go to the green mist hallway.
As you put the zombie amulet on, you feel cold. The sounds of the world around fade to an irrelevant muted tone. You shuffle yourself over to the hallway full of green mist.
I walk through the mist as far as I can go. If there just so happens to be a stone pedestal, I take the amulet off and place it in the indention I assume exists in the assumed pedestal.

“Guys, I’m not joking here. I NEED that iron amulet when we’re done. And the crystal so that it actually works. ILL BE FIRE PROOF” Jerry is OVERJOYED at the thought of not being able to be burned.

You walk to the end of the corridor. As you do so, a bad taste fills your mouth from the mist, but it doesn't seem to otherwise affect you. at the end of the corridor, the mist abruptly ends, and there is indeed a stone pedestal. You also notice that the back wall has a single, small flame burning in one of seven indentations.
You take the zombie pendant off, and place it on the pedestal. The crystal once again rises out of it as you do so, and the far right hollow in both the door (for those outside) and the wall behind you (for you) is lit up by a small flame.
