"SEVEN IS FIVE!" Shouts out Stella at the Mummy.

Thoruk has managed to produce some reading glasses from somewhere, as well as a piece of parchment, a quill, and an ink pot. He's scratching out some ideas and a lot of doodles.

amid his murmurings you can hear "It's a prime so it's not multiplication... addition isn't consistent... needs more teeth to look right... if it's reversible then they are all the same number..."

I'm hoping that I can roll for arcana (albeit with no benefits) to try and recall what "the magic number" could be (if I can't just ignore this roll!)

"I've got it! 7 is how much I know about magic numbers! wait, no, that's not it..."

"Seven is five because One is 3, one has three letters, Three is 5, three has five letters, Five is 4, five has four letters, and Four is the magic number, four has four letters and is thus the magic number. And how many letters does Seven have?"

"Wait but was another 5?"

"Yes, but that is irrelevant. It isn't about which answers have already been answered, it's about how many letters there are in a number."

"Yes, I agree, seven is five. Can I go across the bridge now?"

Then I try to jump across the chasm, thinking a bridge will appear before I fall.

Thoruk is now surrounded by many scribbles of paper and doodles. "Does anyone have an abacus?"

(I agree it's 5. Thoruk can't spell so will probably need help!)

"5 is correct!" the mummy says. as it does, the mist in the ravine forms into a bridge, leading into the next room.

Thoruk looks up from his mound of paper and sees the bridge.

"Hey, why don't we just use the bridge?"

Thoruk then walks across the bridge and into the next room.

Did the bridge form under me before I fell? If so, I go with Thoruk.

I also hug the mummy on the way out.

walking into the next room, you see an array of pressure plats, covering the ground across the room. the room has no other features, and the only spot with no pressure plates is right in from of the door  you walked through. 

Jerry will touch one.

I go to the place with no pressure plates and try to use my breath weapon to melt all the pressure plates. Then I glare at Thoruk.

"Sorry, Jerry."

Thoruk responds by first watching you breathe fire, then obviously counting your legs, and then giving a little shake of his head at the result, as if dismissing an idea.

yes, there's a door at the other end.

 a golem made of gems falls from the ceiling. it looks like a human, but with a bulkier frame, and is made of diamond with jet for eyes. "defense mechanism activated." a recorded voice says. you can't tell the sorce of it, it sounds to be everywhere in the room.
