Name: Zuawarzyk "Zeds" Zaranski Race: Custom Lineage (skill expert) Class/Planned Subclass: Rogue - Swashbuckler Background: Gambler Brief Backstory: "It's getting so's you can't find a decent game in this town!" -- Zuawarzyk "Zeds" Zaranski
For those who knew him, it was a common phrase to be heard from "Zeds" Zaranski. Whether he was referring to rich marks he could steal from, packed taverns full of drunken marks he could steal from, or profitable card games full or people with more coin than brains. That he could steal from. To "Zeds" Zaranski it was all a game.
"Zeds" has no tragic backstory to justify his larcenous ways, or an overly strict upbringing that he felt the need to rebel against. "Zeds" just found it easy to take than earn and the rare times he's been caught he found the getaway almost as thrilling as the takeaway. Unfortunately, lately, their indeed has been a lack of a decent game in town. Merchants doubling their guard? Politicians particularly uptight and anal? There was nary a loose coin to be palmed, a purse string to be cut or a gambling table to be cheated. "Zeds" was used to travelling up and down the Sword Coast - It's best nobody except his friends got too too familiar with his face and his practices - but he preferred to sticking to the big cities with lots of people in the streets and gold in their pockets. South of Baldur's Gate was... well... not to be rude but it was for lesser talents. Sure Candlekeep had some loose card games IF you could fenangle yourself an invite but you had to be careful there, they had some interesting ways to punish those they caught cheating. But c'mon? Greenest? It was minor leagues. Normally he wouldn't even think of it... But these aren't normal times. And perhaps his normal ways of making coin need to be rethought?

Race: Half-Elf
Class/Planned Subclass: Rogue/Bard (College of Lore)

The day before her wedding she packed a bag and disappeared into the night, never to be seen by her family again.
It was almost a year later when Kit Thelarr arrived in Baldur's Gate as the companion of Eila Forthall, a traveling Cleric of Ilmater. Eila was ordained as a Painbearer and assigned to the Temple infirmary and Kit became a local street performer. They were married shortly after.

She/They pronouns
The Goddess of the Strings (thanks for the title Drummer!)
I also made a Ranger/Bard version of this character if it would suit the party/campaign better.
Name: Kit Forthall
Race: Half-Elf
Class/Planned Subclass: Rogue/Bard (College of Lore)
Background: Noble
Brief Backstory:
Born Lady Kitiara, First Daughter of House Skye, Kit always railed against her "lot in life"; to become a proper lady, accept an arraigned marriage for political purposes, and produce and raise heirs.
As an aspiring member of the Harpers, Kit has spent the past year gathering rumors and information for them on the streets of Baldur's Gate but now they need something more. She's been sent abroad to see what she can find out about the rumored dragon attacks. Her investigation has brought her to Greenest. With some skill and luck she may just earn herself a place among the heroes of Faerûn.
Character Appearance:
Kit is about average height for a human female with the slim build common to elves. She has an androgynous beauty that is accented by her short hair and preference for the types of hunting garb favored by young noblemen. (The picture below of Ruby Cruz as Kit Tanthalos in the Willow TV series is a good reference point)

Brief Backstory: Feeling an affinity with the mountains and the air even more than most dwarves, Tormund broke from his family and his clan at a young age, to live in the wilderness. He left behind his family business of brewers, and willing exiled himself from civilization. Occasionally though, he has needs and requirements that even the mountains cannot provide, and he comes down from his seclusion, to visit nearby towns and villiages, catching up on all the news, replenishing his provisions, before returning to his self-imposed seclusion. Imagine his surprise when he comes to visit Greenest on one such occasion, and finds the town in flames. The mountains and the stone have brought him here, he believes, for a reason.
