THE fog has finally lifted. Your day-long journey was tiring, but as you see the broken spires and jutting walls emerge from the haze, you feel hopeful that your trip is nearly over. Armed with your equipment and the vague instructions that you are to meet a man called The Scavenger, and three other adventurers, you were sent by Lord Aldrich the Yellow. Apparently, you are part of an artifact collection team, searching for.... something, for.... some purpose. You are still unsure.... of anything really.
As you get closer your path merges with the other adventurers. As you begin to make yourself acquainted, you see a form in the distance standing by an ancient wooden door....
The short, young looking wood elf has hardly stopped talking since you've met him, asking you questions about who you are, what you do, and how you are.
Raui himself has said that he is from a temple of Lathander (and says that's why he shaves his head), though he doesn't work there right now, of course!
"Looks like someone's expecting us," Raui says cheerfully, tan face smiling, as usual.
Taliesin is a half-elf with plenty of happiness and excitement to go around. He loves having fun, and I think him and Raui will become instant friends ;)
"Our quest has begun!" Tamba mutters to himself. He has spoken little to his companions, but his silence is not a moody one, merely contemplative. Once or twice he has been caught whispering words in a strange tongue to random rocks along the wayside. Then, in a booming and imposing voice, he calls out to the silent figure ahead.
"Well met, fellow traveler. We have come in search of one who is titled "The Scavenger". Know you of this one?"
Tamba Stonegraven is an earth genasi, for those who are unaware, and he often speaks to earth kami spirits who inhabit rocks and stones. My profile image gives you an idea of what he looks like.
For anyone is familiar with the Legend of the Five Rings universe, Tamba is basically a Crab warrior. :)
"I wonder what this "Scavenger" scavenges to give himself the name?" says Nikolai, "Perhaps he collects valuables!"
With this conclusion, he catches up with the others.
Nikolai is a half-elf with a light sense of humor. He likes acquainting himself with other people.

Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
As you approach, the figure cocks his head to a slight 45 degree angle. He silently pushes the door open and ushers you in with a waving gesture. Even his stance is stoic. Tambas friendly greeting is met only with the creak of the ancient wooden door.

Nikolai stares at the figure suspiciously. What are you? He think this to himself, studying the creature and looking for clues to what it is (Investigation 8).

The figure remains motionless and silent. As you pass through the doorway the figure finally speaks. His voice is a monotone tenor, not imposing, yet unsettling; "I am Scavenger, what are you?" The door slams shut and you are engulfed in darkness. From the darkness comes a spark, and from the spark a blazing torch. As you look at the light you see shadows dance across The Scavengers deer skull mask, and you hear his voice emerge from behind it; "Lord Aldrich sent you, yes?" He points to his chest to show you a bronze DDU emblem. Once is confident that he has seen yours he removes his mask, revealing a very pleasant looking human male. His voice shifts from monotonous and eerie to an articulate and normal; "They call me The Scavenger. I am an artifact hunter by trade, perhaps that is why Lord Aldrich requested that I lead this expidition. We have been tasked with retreving a number of powerful artifacts and returning them to Lord Aldrich. There are dangerous warlords from distant lands who have similar goals, and to stave off the fires of war, Lord Aldrich plans to hide them away in a magical vault." He lays his pack on the ground and pulls out a large scroll case, he pulls a scroll from the case and lays it out on the rough limestone floor, "This is my research, ancient and local lore. This place is known as Muuch Dokaar. The Hold of Lightning, acording to historical accounts and local legends, this was a Hobgoblin Stronghold, used thousands of years ago, before the human folk conquered this part of the country." He folds his scroll back up and puts it away; "We are looking for a ring, a powerful ring. They call it 'Dron Kek, The Ring of Dust.' It is said to hold a great and many power over nature." He pauses for a moment before holding his torch to illuminate the room; "Shall we?"
You scan the room. It is large, with jagged walls and a rough limestone floor. The ceiling is tall, and covered with growths and stalactites, you truly feel like you are walking through ancient history. You see and Iron door directly in front of you, a wooden door to the right of that, an open archway just behind the sarcaphagus in the far-right with an iron door just beside that. There is a large Iron Sarcophagus in the far-right corner of the room. As you begin walking in you hear a crunch underneath your feet. You look to see Teeth covering the floor. You see many different types of teeth from many different creatures...
Welcome to your first random dungeon! Go ahead and proceed however you like.

Perception check on traps for any of the doors and sarcophagi. If there are no traps on the sarcophagi I will tie a rope to the lid back up 50 ft. and slowly pull the lid off, then I'll go investigate the container. I'll do this for both sarcophagi.

Then, hefting his mace in one hand and holding his shield in the other, he speaks to the group.
"I shall take the lead on this journey. We do not know what lies in these dungeons, but I shall be the first line of defense against any monster that comes our way. The Scavenger shall walk beside me and point us in the right direction. Raui shall watch our backs for enemy ambushes. Does that agree with the party?"

Talie
You don't see any traps in the area, and there is nothing suspicious about the containers. You tie your rope around the lid easily and begin to pull. The lids slide off and crash to the ground with a deafening thud. A cloud of dust is kicked up on the impact. You make your way back over to the Sarcophagus and dig through the contents. Inside each container you find a mummified hobgoblin, dressed in fine clothes and adorned with ancient jewelry. You find; 1 Moss Agate worth 7 gp, 1 Blue Quartz worth 12 gp, and an eyepatch with adorned with an emerald eye worth 29 gp.

You scan the room and find that it is fairly barren. An ancient portrait hangs on one wall, with the remnants of what you think were once banners. They are all so old that you can't really make out any details, it seems like a strong gust of wind might turn them into dust.
