It has been over a hundred years since this place could really be called a tower. Nowadays, it is a moss-laden circular wall, with varying height and no roof to speak of. The stones that once constituted a floor were taken and re-purposed for a different building by a man who has been dead for decades now. It is a miracle that the former tower can still be considered a building at all.
Yet, it is in this ruin that you wake up. Confused, lost, and having no memory of this place, or anything else, for that matter. You lie on a makeshift bed, with a name above it, which you assume is yours. However, you are not alone. There are four more strangers, who are also sitting up on their beds, wearing brownish rags, which, you notice, look just like what you are wearing as well. Their faces betray confusion, just the way you feel yourself.
The world around you is tranquil, with only an occasional animal sound breaking the silence. Yet, you suspect, that this tranquility will not last for much longer.
As the first to rise morgan(though his name unknown to him) sits in the edge of the bed and makes a scan of the room, blurry eyed and a fuzzy head. He tries to think to himself why is he here? But says nothing at first.
Anyone who wants a description:
Morgan is an older gentleman with dark grey hair, blue eyes and chiselled jaw, he has a strong built body and stands at 6’1”. He speaks calmly and slowly with a low gravelled voice.
The entire former tower is one room, but it was never a really majestic tower, so it is not all that large. The ground is grassy, though it seems to have been trampled, and there are a bunch of broken twigs and a couple of animal bones strewn about, but nothing of interest seems to be around.

Perception Roll - 11
The Grass seems to be trampled from the center of the tower, as if something exploded in the middle and the shock wave hit the grass. Curiously, however, no other items seem to be affected, so it might have been something else entirely.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A pile of rags shifts around for a moment before slowly standing up. An absolutely filthy gnome emerges from beneath them as he wakes up with a loud groan. He wipes a thin layer of grease and muck out of his eyes as he stares around at the rest of you. "Er... hello?" he says in Common to the others, stumbling over his words a bit, as if he's not quite sure how to use his tongue.
He squints at the strange nameplate above this strange bed in this strange tower. "'Tozo?' Is... is that me?" He looks down at his hands. "Where are we?" He looks around(11) the tower, trying to understand and make sense of this place, watching and listening(13) carefully.
"How did we get here? Who are you?" He looks around with suspicion and dismay.
(OOC: Do we remember or understand anything about our class features or abilities, or have a sense of what we're skilled and unskilled at? Do we know that it's apparently been a hundred years since this tower was originally standing?)
Tozo, while looking around, sees the horrible disrepair the tower is in, though there does not seem to be anything particularly noteworthy about it. It is very old, very ruined, and very dilapidated. The grass is clearly weird, though, as it seems to be trampled in a circular manner.
While listening to the surroundings, Tozo thinks that he can make out footsteps from the outside, but he is not sure.
OOC: You have no memories, but, instinctively, you know everything about your abilities and skills (although you do not have a spell book with you). As for the tower, it is quite clear, that it has been a ruin for a very, very long time, so while you won't be able to piece together the exact age thereof, you can easily see, that it has been ruined for a number of decades at the very least.
(OOC: How open is the tower to the outside elements and how much visibility is there? Are there windows or doors (or spaces where windows or doors might once have been)? Is there a ceiling? Does this location offer any reasonable shelter from weather?)
Tozo can see, that the tower has a huge hole in it, where, quite likely, a door used to be once. The wall above the former door has collapsed as well, so there is a large opening in the wall. There are no windows, but a number of arrow slits are there in two circles, one at around eye-height (for a human, Tozo will not be able to look through them, unless he jumps), and another one around 15 feet up, indicating that the tower had at least two floors. The walls end irregularly, the tallest point likely being at 25 feet, while the lowest one (besides the collapsed bit over the door) being at the same height as the upper arrow slits. There is no ceiling whatsoever, and considering the lack of a door, it is not really a great place to hide from the elements, though it's definitely better than being outdoors.
All in all, the tower is circular, with a radius of around a dozen feet. As for visibility, the hole that used to be a door is around half a dozen feet wide, and through it a forest and, in the distance, some mountains can be seen.
Something is wrong, something is not right as all of my senses are screaming that there is danger around. Opening my eyes seeing sunshine for a roof of what appears to be a crumbling tower I am confused, this isn't where I went to sleep was it?. Getting to my feet I see four strangers who also seem confused and then the hole in the wall where there once was a door. With my back against the wall I slowly start to move toward it looking for escape and freedom but again confusion sits in as I know not where to run. I see the name Mordai over where I was sleeping, but no connection is made as a matter of fact my mind seems to be shrouded in fog to anything except for the here and now.
Putting my back to the wall and preparing to exhale in defense I ask the others, "Who are you and what did you do to me?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh, another one of you. 'Welcome', I suppose," he starts but then trails off as he hears the footsteps. "Wait. I think someone — or something — is coming."
He assesses (11) if the footsteps he heard the match a creature with two legs, if they're getting closer or farther, or if there's more than one of them, or if there's anything else interesting he can determine.
Tozo can easily sense, that the footsteps are coming closer, and that they are indeed compatible with those of a bipedal creature. However, he does not have to listen for long, as a human steps into the ruined entrance of the tower and, seeing its occupants, is clearly surprised.
He is wearing leather boots, shabby-looking trousers and shirt, as well as a tan overcoat and a somewhat large hat on his head. All in all, your instincts tell you, that he looks like a peasant, or just someone who is not financially well-off.
What the peasant looks like:
The peasant seems taken aback and, after a second, nervously asks:
"Who are you people? If you're hiding from the Tails, no need, they've been ran off over the river. And please don't tell me you're pilgrims, we can barely guard the village itself".
The older gentleman sees the others look at the name above the bad and looks for his as well. “Morgan?” He speaks to himself, as he looks at all the other names.
When he makes eye contact with the person pushed up to the wall he squints and speaks slowly. “I wouldn’t be coming to any conclusions yourself just yet, I only just awoke myself and I fear so did everyone...”
He stops short when the peasant enters. “I would ask you the same friend, also what is this place?”
A bulky human, wakes like a haze has been lifted off his mind. He is close to a motley looking group. He looks inside the collar of his tunic and it says Donovan Highland. Unsure of how he arrived at this foreign location and who he is Don makes his way closer to the group.
He walks up as the man starts speaking. Don’s curiosity over comes him. “Greeting friend. First things first I am Donovan. Donovan Highland. What is this place and what brings you here? Are you hiding from what was it .... the Tails?”
Now looking between the newcomer and everyone else in the room, Mordai rally does not know what to do so just stands there listening to what is going on. Not doing anything overt mainly due to the fact no one sounds really threatening at the moment. He is still on guard though.
Tails, did that person just mention something about tails? Did he mean one of his kind? Mordai will focus his attention on the "peasant" and listen for his answers, but will every now and then look at the rest of the group to see if they recognize anything that is mentioned.
"Ugh, uh hi," Reginald Shadowfoot, a human with tanned skin stands from his bed. "So uh, are you guys in the same boat as me?? I can't remember a damn thing. I think my name is Reginald... I guess call me Reggie."

"What in Dark are you talking about? What's wrong with your memories?"
He steps a couple of paces into the tower and looks at you more intensely. He is clearly staring at Tozo and Mordai.
"When I was in BIrley, I saw a Dragonborn there, but you... A Gnome, right? I've never seen one of your kind before... Are you pilgrims or are you not? Or did you forget that as well?"
Then, hearing the questions posed to him, he answers a couple:
"Well, this place is a very old, ruined tower, there are a few of those nearby, from the Great War and some even before... And, well, the Tails are... The Tails, the cat-people who do not like living under the empire. How can you not know about them? Or did you forget that too..."
He thinks a bit, and then suggests:
"Maybe it'd be better to go down to the village? Maybe Yed... I mean Sir Yedder will be able to help you out... He's a very clever man, after all, though he's not going to be in the best of moods".
Finally, realizing he never introduced himself, he says:
The old gentleman stands up from the bed with a heavy grunt, rolls his shoulders and walks to the peasant and puts out a hand to shake. “Sorry for the mess you walked in on, we are just all on edge. If you think this... Sir Yedder can help then take us to him. I am feeling rather hungry could do with a good meal.”
He turns to the others as to confirm if they agree to go to the village.
"I am called Mordai and since we have no other option, Tarden can you lead the way to the village. And if you don't mind, besides the "Tails" is there anything else in the area we should be aware of. As you are correct it would seem," looking around at the rest of the group for confirmation, "that our memories are not what they should be."
“Tarden... I’m not even sure if this is my name. So you’re going to have to walk us through about everything. Village sounds good. This Yedder guy sounds good.”

You said the ground looks trampled, would I be able to see if it was a lot of people or just a wild animal? Or maybe if it looks recent?
