And with his passing, perhaps the best chance for peace in the world of Runa. As factions gather around Throne, the once mighty beating heart of a continent spanning empire, rallying their forces and sending the frontier legions into disarray, opportunist threats from within and without the kingdom perceive an opportunity to rise in power above and beyond their wildest dreams. Common folk aspire to be Lords, and Lords, Kings. Monsters slink, creep, slither, and shamble across undefended borders, and frontier towns are left defenseless and isolated. Pirate fleets roam the seas, nearly freezing mercantile trade and upsetting the delicate economical balance necessary to run a prosperous kingdom. Communication between fringe states is breaking down. In the dying light of the once mighty empire, life once again becomes brutal, short, and destined, it seems, for darkness.
Yet in this time of darkness and strife, something new emerges. By some they are called hero's, by most, thrillseeking opportunists, no better than the rest. You are one of these adventurers, finally heeding call to action. In the small town of Dalben, our story begins. Will you step forward and spread hope and light across the land? Or will you let it fall into darkness, carving your share of the remains with the other would be conquerors?
This will be an adventure for 4-6 players, starting level 1. Eberron and Critical Role Content allowed. Roll your stats (4d6 drop the lowest x 7 and drop the lowest again) in this thread, so I have a frame of reference for who is interested. PM me with your character concepts, with the link to your sheet, your character's backstory, and whatever other questions I might be able to answer. Whatever your character, I ask only that you are willing to roleplay the part you make for yourself.
She is a forest gnome rogue. She is a little outcast from her peers because she is more interested with mischief than her studies. Since getting booted from her college she has begun using her natural knack for attention to detail and overthinking every possible outcome, she has seen employment as a private detective and bounty hunter.
A beguiling tabaxi from far away. He is looking for someone.... His desperation led him to making a pact with an awful fiend to find his quarry. If asked, Shere knows that he is the one pulling a fast one on the fiend but as of yet, he isn't entirely sure why he has ended up here and what direction his Patron has in store. When questioned about his obsession, his response is typically curt, snarky, rude, offense, or a combination of all with some ambiguity sprinkled in. However, he is a tabaxi and enjoys many of life's pleasures.

If it is firm that the way the dice landed is where our stats go i present Remy Rae: https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/HumbleHubris86/characters/5174598

Or, if we can distribute the scores how we please, my preferred choice would be Shere Khan: https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/HumbleHubris86/characters/5515219
