The stone floor is cold. As your eyes open, a strange opalescent green light seems to suffuse the area, casting strange shadows and playing tricks of movement. You are in a wide hallway, laying on the cold worked floor. Behind you a staircase leads down, but a cave in has made it impassible. Ahead where the passage way turns a blind corner an iron chandelier hangs from the ceiling, strangely out of place. 13 candles burn the in chandelier, flickering weakly and giving faint light. The walls around you are covered in a thick green lichen that gives off a bioluminescence adding to the everpresent green light.
As you take stock of your surroundings, you see that you are not alone. 5 others have found themselves in a similar fate. Or did one of them bring you here? It is impossible to say for sure. You can't remember much of the past day. But you remember that there was something important that you had to do. You have to find her, and give her the message. Who she is, what the message is, they both escape you for the time being. But you know that she is not here. She is outside, in the sun. You have to escape if you are going to finish your mission.

The blond elf picked herself off of the floor, shaking her head a bit to get the cobwebs out. She straightened to her full height, a few inches less than 6 feet, and took in their surroundings.
"What happened?" She asks, glancing to those she finds herself with. "And who in the patron Ancestors are you all?"
Wing looks around in confusion, he was looking for someone but he does not remember if this is where he was supposed to go. He scratches his neck and the back of his head and checks to see if he still has all his possesions.
He's not used to have so many people near him "what... no, wait... who are you all?"

A grey-skinned gnome remains on the floor. He opens his eyes to see the others. He remains still and attempts to listen to the conversation the others are having. Once he realizes these are not enemies, he will get up from the floor. "What happened and who are you all? What is this place?"Klofi will head over to the cave in and attempt to investigate if it were natural or something else.

"I have to get out of here. I need to do," Klofi pauses a moment. "I need to do something. I'm Klofi by the way." He looks over at the supposed exit. "Well, after you, my lady."
"Shit!" the dwarven girl with messy reddish hair tapped the wall with the pommel of her dagger then kicked it with her boot. "Do not know who the hells are you all but we are trapped. Just great! And she said there will be treasure!""Or was it me, who had to tell her that? Hells if I know!"
She looked at everyone - and obviously did not like what she saw. "Know the way out?"
As you come to and find your feet you naturally begin to spread out a little. Doing so, some of you turn the corner and find you are in a short series of corridors, ultimately coming to an end in an archway that enters a poorly lit room about 20' south of you.
Klofi: It looks like at one point a magma flow broke through one of the walls of the stair case. There is a jumble of loose boulders and cooled lava rock blocking the stair case down. Who knows how far down the flow stretches, but excavating it to get a passageway down the stairs would take tools that you do not have on you. Judging from the luminious lichen that is growing as evenly on the lava rock as on the rest of the walls the lava flow happened decades ago, if not longer. There is probably no immediate danger of lava today.

A second elven lady stands up, although not as tall as the blonde one, this one was certainly bulkier than one would imagine from an elf. She wore heavy armor in the form of her chain mail, and she gives one stare at all the others who were already up and about before introducing herself. "My name is Maghana. Do none of you really know where we're at?"
"Right, let's go", approved the dwarf, "By the way, you can call me Mist and I know all about dungeons. So - don't stand on the way, big guy, let the specialist work". Mist did not look like someone who should use word "know" often (if at all), but she moved surprisingly softly and accurately and looked around as if the stone maze was truly something familiar to her.
As Caryarus looks over the dead end, Klofi will offer his observations."Lava," he says matter of factly. "Broke through and filled this place. It's been here a long time. There's no getting through that. Guess the only way out is over yonder."
Klofi will turn to Maghana. "No idea sister. Woke up here the same as you, I presume."
"Well, you all heard her. Let's gets to moving."Klofi will fall in behind the dwarf woman as she begins to leave through the only exit. Klofi then pulls out a rapier. "Best be ready,"he says before giving the group a smirk.
"I am Ravanala." The blond elf says as she nods to each of the group as they get to their feet. "It does seem we have but one option to go from here. Lead on and I will back you up with what spells I have available..." She follows a bit behind those in the lead.
"My name is Wing" says the genasi, his blue skin a dead giveaway about his air parentage, "I don't like being trapped in here. I don't know you yet. I want to get out". He sometimes has difficulty talking and tends to use short phrases with simple words.
Wing starts walking behind the dwarf, taking his long bow just in case.
You step into an irregularly shaped room with a tile flooring with a labyrinthine pattern on it. Following the lines gives you a slight headache and bout of vertigo. Directly in front of you the far wall is cast in shadow. It is between 40 and 50 feet away. To your right on the western wall of the room a statue of a demon sits, holding a bowl of stone carved in a depiction of fire liking up the sides. The statue's ruby eyes glint and reflect in a fire light that is not there.
Besides the archway you have entered through, there are two other exits to this room, a closed wooden door on the western wall about 10' north of the demon and another wooden door in the north eastern corner about 40' to your left.
"Rrriiiaght, a demon," stated the obvious Mist proceeding directly to the statue (carefully, though, still scanning the surrounding). "Awful masoning, who builds like that?!"She was obviously still cross about whole situation. First she looked inside the bowl, then - lovingly - at the eyes of the statue: "Do you think it's real rubies up there?"Still, they were not out of the woods (maze) yet and she remember that. So, the next thing she checked was the west door (near the demon statue).
Wing moves uneasily into the new room. He hangs his bow over his left shoulder and lights a torch, "I don't want to fight demons today". He walks towards the center of the room, keeping an eye on the demon statue, as if it could spring to life at any moment.

Mist: The demon statue's ruby eyes do appear to be authentic to your cursory glance. The "bowl of fire" it is holding appears inanimate. You are not able to locate the source of light that is reflecting in the ruby eyes.
"You don't wont to fight demons any other day too, believe me," declared Mist as if she was fighting demons for living. "Oh! Another door." She went to the Northern door and checked it for traps as well to her best knowledge. Then she looked behind it.
Klofi enters the room and immediately begins looking for another door. He comes across the one to the east. "There's a door over here!" he calls out to the others. He will attempt to open it. If it doesn't open, he will start beating on it to break it open.

Besides the unsettling floor pattern and the more unsettling statue against the wall there does not appear to be anything threatening in this room.
