You awaken in a rooms with several chairs along the side of a table. At the Head of the bale is a large chair and an imposing man sits smiling at you as you look around with his hands folder on the table. As you look around you see others sitting at the table with expressions similar to the way you feel: Shock and Confused.
The walls of the room appear to be made of a deep red mahogany wood just like the table. The chairs are also of mahogany with plush black cushions. Before you on the table is a backpack. Upon inspecting it you see there are several items in the bag (weapons, pouches, armor, coins) and several other items. The man at the head of the table stands slowly and looks around at each of you. As his gaze lingers on you, you feel the weight of eternity weighing on you. He nods and clears his throat slightly.
"Welcome to each of you and thank you for answering my summons. My name is Dawngaurd Mathiall and I have summoned you each hear from across the multiple dimensions to aid in saving this world from total destruction. I would like to ask each of you to lend me your assistance. The current issue I would like you to look into with your Companions is dealing with the Giants. There have been several different clans of Giants running about the land causing issues. I would like for you to look into this and stop it as they are causing havoc where ever they go."
He pauses and looks at each of you again before continuing. "The packs before you contain various items, as you have seen already, that could be useful to you as you travel about the world. The black book will allow you to write a message to me once a day and I will respond. I will not solve all of your problems for you as there are matters that I must attend to on the divine side. Your Companion will assist you as they can, but they are only meant to assist you, not do everything for you. Do you have any questions?"
He sits back down and it feels as if a lock has been removed from your mouth that you did not realize was there and you get the feeling you can speak freely now.
Inner thoughts converge: I have lost my nation and my past ties so I currently have no attachments to anything currently, and although there are many questions to be answered those can wait, I can see that apparently the person who summoned me has power is in need of assistance and can return me once again to my world so the polite thing to do is accept and assist questions usually answer themselves over time and that i have in abundance.
As manner dictates: introductions and a questions receiving an answer:
Courteously and Cautiously speaks unknowing the group members and their possible reactions: I am called Vandell , I accept your request, I have questions but answers can wait till the current task is complete.
Mathiall turns his head towards Vandell and tilts his head slightly as if confused. His silvery blue eyes seem to peer through the person for a brief moment before he chuckles. "I see. That explains it." He nods to himself with a smile on his ageless face as if a great mystery has been solved. He straightens slightly in his seat again. "Nice to meet you Vandell. I am glad you accept the request, but I will disagree that questions can wait. Now is the time for Questions, as once you leave, either me returning you to where you came from or to the first place I need you to go, it will be to late and you may need a piece of Important information and not have it, resulting in failing to accomplish the goal. Ask away good man, ask away any questions that you have. When I send you on to the first place that needs you, it maybe a long time before you finish the task that I have as there are multiple areas that the forces are working to destroy this world. And this world is not small. It is a very large place."
A slight look of boredom spreads Daiyu's face. Boredom and annoyance at being brought to an unknown place against her will.
She cocks her head slightly, surveying the room and the individuals before her. She speaks distinctly, "My name is Daiyu. Before I agree or disagree to anything, I would like to know who are you to bring me........here? To fight Giants, is that what you said? I am not sure how I can help you."
Mathiall chuckles slightly to himself at Daiyu's words. "That is a good question, partially I have already answered."He fixed his silvery gaze on her, seeming to look through her. "I am Dawngaurd Mathiall, God of Knowledge and Magic for all of the realms in the multiverse." Power suddenly radiates from him and a tangible pressure seems to weigh down on everyone in the room. The Companions bow their head slightly towards Mathiall. Suddenly the pressure is gone and he is smiling serenely at Daiyu."I trust that answers your question? And I am sure your rather unique skills will be very useful on this journey. "
Daiyu straightens in her chair, smooths out the wrinkles in her garment and turns her yellow eyes toward Dawnguard.
"Impressive. Parlor tricks." Not impressed, Daiyu scoots forward to the edge of the chair and lays her hands on the table. "Although I was summoned and brought against my will, I will accept your request, if only out of boredom."
Mathiall chuckles again, the corners of his eyes crinkling slightly. "I am sure there is much that can go to alleviating your boredom, if nothing else, you can always find ... things .... to work on." His eyes shift slightly towards Vandell but not enough for any to notice.
Mathiall leans back in his seat. "As far as we can tell, they are working independently. There has been several sightings of Fire Giants, Earth Giants and Hill Giants attacking towns with their underlings seemingly at random."
Something stirs in a seat further down the table, easily mistaken as a shadow, and a large Black fox leans forward to look down the table towards Mathiall. His golden yellow eyes stare for a moment before a low deep voice issues forth from his deep black muzzle. "Dawnguard, are they taking anything from the towns?"
Mathiall seems startled for a split second as he looks towards the Shadow. "Eldar, did not know you had been part of the summons. But to answer your question, at first it appears to be nothing of importance, old monuments and unusual stones, but only those of us that have been around a while know different. These are artifacts of Giants that have been left laying about and forgotten over the centuries."
Daiyu glances from the shadow to Dawnguard and back again.
"Are you implying that they are rummaging around looking for forgotten trinkets?" she laughs softly, and mutters under her breath, or so she thinks, 'Should of picked up your toys the first time'
She glances at the shadow again, wondering where it came from.
Mathiall glances at Daiyu, but Eldar speaks up from where he is sitting, "Be glad, young one, that these toys were left laying around. Things could have been alot different if they had not. You may have had Giants as your owners if they had not." He glances at Mathiall, "Is it the usual items?"
Mathiall nods. "It is, but we are not sure what is behind them deciding to gather the pieces."
Mathiall shakes his head. "There is not a specific site that they first showed up. It seems like all at once the different giant tribes started showing up and ransacking the different towns."
Mathiall sighs and looks around. "Giants are not the only issue. Dragons are moving their follows around, positioning. Strahd has awakened again. Stirrings of really ancient things long asleep."
Daiyu clasps her hands together on the table. Her tails give it away that she is deep in thought, flicking back an forth.
After several moments, she speaks. "Is there a tribe above all the others that need to be dealt with first? If so, maybe that is where we need to start. What do you think Vandell?"
Mathiall nods following Daiyu's train of thought. "Normally the giants all answer to the Storm Giants. The leader of the Storm Giants is King Hekaton and he keeps order among the others by enforcing the Ordning from his throne. However, he seems to be absent recently which has let the others to do as they please."
In regards to your answer I see that time is of the essence and depending on situations questions may go un-answered so I will ask,
Forgive the rudeness but still a question lingers, so to clear the air: Although I am great-full you supplied and summoned us I find it hard to believe one of such power needs our help?
Sir Dawngaurd and in agreement with Miss Daiyu, From what I have gathered there are various tribes or factions of giants and other beings, I agree it would be best to aim for the throat and cut off the head (or the most threat) then stamp out any other resistance, however could you not use your great power to send us straight to the source to deal with the rising issue quickly? The sooner we attend the threat the less of a chance it can become a serious one.
Stands grabs the straps of the backpack and throws it over his shoulder in a ready to go position.
Inner thoughts: I still have this lingering presence in the back of my mind that there is another in this room?
Mathiall looks at Vandell. "Gods are not permitted to act directly in the Mortal realms unless it is to protect followers from a Direct threat from another Divine or Infernal. We can only recruit others to act in our stead. Also, the movements of the one causing all of this issue is hidden from me and my fellow Gods. This indicates that there is someone of equal power involved and until we know who, we cannot move. I also have other things to attend to in the Realm of the Gods that will aid you in your journey."
He turns towards Mura, "Greetings Mura. I see you have finally awoken from your slumber. To answer your question, power, riches maybe even titles. There is much to gain from doing this quest."
Eldar grunts from where he is sitting, "Those things I have already. But I do have a vested interest in this quest."

A voice resonates from nowhere and echoes through the room; I'm not sure I agree, I usually don't take a job without some sort of compensation.
What are we to gain from this task?
I am not sure as to if it is nice or not to meet you yet so until then you may call me, Mura.

The shadows speak, I knew another presence was here.
I guess if it be the will of Gods how can we decline.
I find myself free at the moment and able to take on a task or two.
Let's get this adventure underway.
Heh, you jest! , I was waiting in the shadows watching and waiting learning my surroundings and gathering information before making myself known.
We shall see how this mission unfolds, then I will decide if it is indeed worth the reward offered.
The seat is empty and the pack has vanished? Only the sound of her voice can be heard.
I have gathered the bare information needed to complete the mission, and I am ready.
