During his studies, he came into contact with an artifact from the plane of shadows, which brought him into contact with a being from that shadowy realm.

Deciding to leave Waterdeep after the third attempt on his life. He found that traveling among caravans as a guard was a good profession He made the trip to Greenist from different locations across the Sword coast many times. Apart from an occasional battle with monsters that inhabit the sword coast, he found being a guard boring. Then his contract ended. after a fruitless wait for another contract as a guard he finally got a lead and was told to wait at the local taproom. "Whats the worse that could Happen......" he thinks to himself

Over the years the grueling demands of this mission took a palpable toll on the once buoyant paladin. Hunting down miscreants and often making difficult choices became second nature to him, but it also made him withdrawn, brooding and slow to trust. Committed to fulfill his holy mandate, Alkanos knows that there can be no mercy for the wicked and that the end definitely justifies the means. Recently, he managed to track down a warlock which had been eluding him for quite some time, only barely surviving the ensuing encounter. Now the Paladin is searching for a new quest in his fight against the forces haunting the world.

He discovered upon growing up that the ways of the other clerics in his clan differed from him, and he found his talents to be wasted. When an adventurer came through enquiring about bounties and subsequently slew a dragon that had been stalking the areas nearby, Weylin was inspired. From then he decided to be an adventurer and find another use for his divine powers, aiming to be as powerful and revered as the wandering dragon slayer that helped his village.
Found abandoned before a dwarven city in farun Bertren was raised by the craftmasters and forge masters of the servants of Moradin. As he grew he learned that hard work and great craftsmanship gain him respect and admiration from his adopted family. By his teenage years he was a great forge apprentice and felt a greater connection to the dwarven All father Moradin. Moving from the forgesmith quarters at 15 he joined the Hammers of Moradin finding that the Soul Forger had come to bless him with gifts of crafting and healing. Having come of age he has set out to find as much information about his past as he can searching for family.
